Up for auction is this 1958 Porsche 356A Speedster replica finished in Red over a black interior.  This Speedster was handcrafted by Beck in 2005, one of the foremost Porsche replica builders with over 30 years of experience.  It was sold new in California and features an air-cooled 1600cc flat-four engine paired with a 4-speed manual gearbox.  Having been recently serviced and with just over 5k miles traveled since completion, this beautifully executed Speedster replica is being offered for auction by its seller out of Tennessee.

Styled in the fashion of a Porsche 356A Speedster, the handcrafted fiberglass bodywork was laid over a custom fabricated tubular steel chassis.  The car comes finished in Red with a black convertible top, chrome brightwork, and gold lettering.  Other features include dual fender-mounted mirrors, a Reutter coachworks badge, quad exhaust tips, and a black tonneau cover.  Detailed images are provided in the photo gallery.  This Speedster rides on chrome 15” wheels with Porsche-crested hubcaps and Falken Sincera tires.  A spare wheel is also included in the front trunk.

The black interior features leatherette bucket seats and a Speedster-style painted dash along with a wood-rimmed Nardi steering wheel and leather shift knob.  Black and red Coco floormats are installed along with a modern Kenwood stereo mounted beneath the dashboard.  Some signs of wear are depicted on the seating surfaces and the seller notes that the heater is currently disconnected, although the blower motor is present and remains fully functional.  The cabin is described to be in good condition overall with all gauges and accessories working properly.

This Speedster derives power from a 1979 VW 1600cc flat-four engine with dual Solex single-barrel carburetors and an EMPI-style exhaust system.  The rear wheels are driven by way of a 4-speed manual transmission.  The most recent service items are said to include an oil and filter change along with the replacements of the distributor cap, rotor, and spark plugs.
