Up for auction is this custom built 2001 Porsche 986 Boxster “Spyder” finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over a black leather interior. Purchased by the seller last year as a stock 986, this Boxster underwent a custom Spyder-style transformation in July of 2019 resulting in the unique example we see today. Featuring Spyder-style exterior modifications, a customized interior and performance upgrades including a KW V1 coilover suspension, this 5-speed 2001 Boxster is now being offered by its seller in Florida with approximately 46k miles showing on the odometer.
The Arctic Silver Metallic finish is noted to be in excellent condition while preserved under a full treatment of ceramic coating (detailed images are provided in the photo gallery). Modifications include a rear bumperette delete, a painted RS Spyder-style front spoiler and rear diffuser, custom made side windows, a custom-made Bordeaux cabriolet top in OEM material, an LED headlight conversion, Euro rear taillights, Anthracite Grey badging, TRS 986 aero side skirts and a custom fabricated Spyder rear panel. This custom build rides on 18” BBS Monoblock wheels which are finished in Anthracite and dressed in Michelin Sport 4S tires from 2018 with approximately 500 miles of wear.
The black leather interior has been modified with a custom flat bottom leather steering wheel, a custom aluminum shift knob and B&M short shifter, red faced instrument gauges and a factory roll bar painted in Anthracite. The cabin is said to be in excellent shape with all gauges and electrical components working properly.
A naturally aspirated 2.7L flat-six engine sends power to the rear wheels by way of a visceral 5-speed manual transmission. Performance upgrades include a Dansk Sport exhaust system with high flow catalytic converter and a high-end KW V1 coilover suspension. The mechanical modifications were carried out by TuneRS Motorsports in Coral Springs, and the seller confirms this Boxster to be up to date on all due service and in excellent driving order.

@driss123 @driss123. Under previous ownership the water pump and coolant were replaced on March 2018. BOSCH Alternator replaced on May 2016. RMS changed when new clutch kit was installed on June 2014 along with valve cover gaskets. IMS is still original. Oil change and spark plugs installed when the leak down test was performed earlier this month.

Thanks. Really nice looking car. Any work done for some of the issues that can occur with early 996 gen 1 models like Intermediate shaft (IMS) bearing, rear-main seal (RMS), air-oil separator (AOS), water pump, cylinder bores?

@joebatters The top is custom made from Haartz cloth, OEM material to fit the car's design and lines; the front portion and latch are original Boxster. It requires manual assembly and disassembly.
The rear deck is composite based on an original Sypder deck. The quality, details and finish are impeccable; Look at the photos with the deck open, even the decals are original.
The car has not been involved in any accident.
