Available for auction is an original painting by artist David Snyder. This original painting, "430 Park Avenue" depicts the Frank Lloyd Wright designed Hoffman Motors showroom in Manhattan circa 1956. The Hoffmann Motors Showroom marked the beginning of a new era where car dealerships became showcases for the art of motion and design. One of the standout features was a spiraling ramp in the center of the showroom. Wrights unique design elements stemmed from decades of work, one of which is the famous Guggenheim Museum in New York City. This original painting is crafted in acrylic on board and measures 29" x 48". With over 350 hours of execution, the painting was extensively researched to assure a historically accurate depiction of the famous showroom.
David Snyder is known for his details and fidelity of colors. His love for the arts started with drawing cars, airplanes, and trains at a very young age. His passion for transportation has resulted in numerous world famous art pieces. After obtaining his art degrees from the prestigious Central Academy of Commercial Art and University of Cincinnati, Snyder took his knowledge and skill and applied it to the commercial arts as a director for various ad agencies while continuing his craft within the fine arts. Davids coveted automotive artwork has received many awards throughout the years. This original and one-of-a-kind automotive art piece will make for a wonderful addition to any automotive enthusiast / art collection.
The seller will arrange crating and shipping at the buyers expense.

I remember that showroom before they dismantled it. Can’t imagine how the city let that happen. Anyway... that is a beautiful piece of art and history. Cheers
