This 1-owner 1996 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Convertible is finished in Polar Silver over a Black leather interior. Only 33,599 actual miles currently show on the odometer. The estate of the previous owner who unfortunately passed away is selling this car.
For the US, the 993 was manufactured from 1995-98. In 1996, Porsche upgraded the flat-6 engine with the Varioram dual plenum induction and as a result horsepower increased to 282 from 270. The Carrera 4 model has a few small visual details to help differentiate it from the C2 including a shorter shifter with a titanium shifter plate, silver painted calipers, and “Carrera 4” script embossed on the center caps.
The included CarFax shows a damage/accident report from 1998 involving a parked vehicle. The estate had the vehicle inspected prior to offering for sale in order to provide insight into the incident and overall assessment. The left quarter showed body work and as expected the paint blended into the door and fender. Although done over 20 years ago, the work held up nicely and it is believed that no panels were replaced.
The estate also offered the following inspection findings:
There are some paint chips and a small dent on the hood. Please reference the photos for details. The overall condition of the interior is consistent with the vehicles age and mileage. The A/C is in working condition. The factory radio was replaced with an Alpine unit and CD changer. Included with the sale of the car is an indoor and outdoor car cover and tool roll.
