We are proud to offer this very rare 1997 993 Turbo S for auction. Being one of only 182 examples built, the 993 Turbo S is one of the most highly sought after 911’s in existence. This car was originally purchased in Arizona where it remained up until five years ago. The current owner is now offering this stunning and original example out of southern California with 67,000 miles on the odometer. This very special 993 is in great driving condition and comes loaded with exclusive factory options.

The classic Arctic Silver paint on this 993 is stated to be all original and in excellent condition. The owner does note some rock chips on the front bumper. Bespoke to the Turbo S model, this car is equipped with distinctive air scoops behind the doors, exclusive rear wing, and yellow brake calipers. This 993 retains its original silver Turbo S wheels, which are in excellent condition. The owner does state that the tires should be replaced due to age. Overall, the exterior looks fantastic given the car’s mileage and it is clear that this car has been pampered throughout its life.

The all original Classic Gray interior shows very well with minimal wear.  This Turbo S features an exclusive carbon fiber interior trim with a factory equipped carbon fiber steering wheel. Other unique factory options include:

  • Turbo S package
  • Full power supple leather seats
  • Crested headrests
  • Premium sound
  • 6-Disc CD changer
  • Rear badge delete

In recent years, this 993 has been fitted with a K-40 radar detector and has been updated with satellite radio. All electrical systems and accessories are working perfectly and the interior comes complete with all original components.

The Turbo S received a healthy performance boost over the standard 993 Turbo. Featuring larger twin K-24 turbochargers, an additional oil cooler and some mechanical fine-tuning, this Turbo S produces 424hp, about 25hp more than the standard Turbo. The Turbo S rockets to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds, impressive even by todays standards. In fact, the 993 Turbo S holds one of the quickest 0-100 mph times to date. This 993 delivers power to all four wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission. No performance modifications have been made, preserving this car’s original ride quality. This Turbo drives beautifully and is up to date on its scheduled services.

Included in the sale of this rare Turbo S are its original books as well as a clean title and Carfax report. No accidents or mechanical troubles have been identified throughout this car’s records. As the last true air-cooled Turbo 911, this 993 remains a critical part of Porsche’s legacy. Do not miss this exceedingly rare opportunity to own one of the most desirable air-cooled Porsches ever made.
