Up for auction is a nicely sorted, low-mileage 2003 996 Carrera Cabriolet with manual transmission. Originally sold new in Texas, this car remained there with its long-term second owner. After moving to NC it was eventually sold on BAT to the current seller. This example is finished in factory Seal Gray Metallic over black leather with black convertible top. Currently showing 35k miles on the odometer, this cabriolet is being offered with a clear title, clean Carfax, and recent IMS bearing upgrade performed.
The exterior is stated to be in excellent condition. All panels are original to the car and show no flaws aside from a minor crack on one of the plastic flaps in front of one of the rear wheels. Some very minor paint imperfections exist (as to be expected) and are well documented in the photo gallery.
Likewise, the interior of this 911 is reported to be in excellent condition overall. The seller notated that there are some minor imperfections to the passenger seat leather that could be due to heat exposure. He has applied some high-end leather conditioner to help remedy the issue. Everything is reported to be in working order. A few noteworthy interior options include power-heated seats, Bose high-end sound system, and floor mats with Porsche lettering. The hydraulic cylinders for the convertible top were replaced within the past few years.
Power comes from a 3.6-liter flat-six delivering power to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission. A service carried out in August of 2018 included an IMS bearing retrofit kit from RND Engines, as well as a new rear main seal, new clutch, oil change, and more (noted in the photo gallery).
5-spoke factory 18″ light alloy Carrera wheels are finished with colored Porsche crests and wear a seat of Bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Position tires.
The sale will include a clean Carfax, books, factory hard-top, 1 key, and recent service records.
