Being offered for auction is a race-ready 2003 911 GT3 factory cup car. The seller, who is the original owner purchased this car new at a cost exceeding $170k. This 911 has covered 774 drive hours and has always been maintained to a very high standard. This GT3 is setup for NASA, SCCA, PCA, POC, HSR and is currently prepped for the 2019 season after winning the 2018 NASA Utah ST1 Championship. It may be hard to believe, but this 996 can now be raced in vintage class, being 15 years old!
The exterior is in excellent condition minus typical rock chips from track use. According to the seller, the paint has always been maintained and meticulously cared for post racing. Last year, the car received a complete, high-quality custom paint job as seen in the gallery photos. This 911 has been kept dry climate-controlled storage when not in use.
The cockpit is equipped with a factory roll cage, fire suppression system, OMP Racing seat with a 6 piece TRS belt harness, Porsche OEM Cup releasable steering-wheel, cool-box, and more.
Power comes from an upgraded 3.8L flat-six engine producing 420HP installed by Autometrics, a premier Porsche race engine builder. The transmission is a Porsche H pattern 6-speed manual, rebuilt by BRM. The seller states that the vehicle receives a complete service after every race including: Fresh fluids, new filters, alignment and an engine/gearbox check. The seller also states that the engine is rebuilt every 100 hours and the transmission is rebuilt every 40-50 hours.
The car is outfitted with racing spec BBS wheels. There are a total of 3 sets of wheels included with the sale, (2 sets with slicks and 1 with rain tires). The Cup OEM brakes are in great condition and have a long life ahead of them.
