This 2006 997 Carrera S was special ordered with a factory Aero Kit Package. This was an option that not many buyers checked when ordered new in 2006, making this a unique build. Factory Aero package cars had a more aggressive look similar to the GT3, making this car as exciting to look at as it is to drive. The car is finished in Speed Yellow with a black interior and optioned with yellow seatbelts, power seat package, heated seats, 19” Carrera Sport Wheels w/ colored crests, TPMS, and Stainless Steel Exhaust pipes.
Power is delivered by a 3.8L flat-six producing a healthy 355hp with a 6-speed manual transmission. The car has traveled only 35,003 miles since new.
The original paint is in as new condition with a full nose paint protection film. As expected, the CarFax shows no accidents or damage. The interior shows little to no wear and is in exemplary condition. This was clearly a well cared for Porsche that will provide great joy for its new owner.
A recent service included the following items:

- Ignition coils
- Spark plugs
- New GT3 front lip spoiler
Brand new Hankook Ventus V12 tires were installed on the optional 19” Carrera Sports Wheels just 200 miles ago.
The 997 was the second generation of the water cooled 911 and is said by many to be the last of the analog Porsche sports cars. The S received a larger displacement engine along with larger brakes, red calipers, and a lower ride height.
The sale will include books and 2 sets of keys.

This car has been listed for 544 days. Just thing of the other cars you could have turned in that time with the cash you have locked up in this car.
Mid $40's is the going rate for an 06 Carrera S Manual with these miles. There are 7 or 8 others listed around with these miles or less for middle $40's, more than a dozen is you count the ones listed in the middle to upper $40's. Many have been on the market for more then 100 days, which is a long time in used car land.

@drvfire4 Same man. Feel like the aero would be fun to whip around in and would drive the hell out of it and not even worry about putting miles on it.
They're very different cars in very different price ranges. Also the 991 is not nearly as far along the price decay curve as a 997.1 like the yellow car. The blue car will continue to fall in price over the next several years, where the yellow car has already reached the point where the decay curve has flattened out. Porsche made sooooo many of both of these cars they're not likely to go up in value for several decades. The 997 is sort of the last of the analog cars, the 991 really took hold of the digital age with far far advanced electronics and drivers aids. Which one is a "better" car is pretty subjective, it all depends on what your definition of "better" is. I am not a huge fan of the 991 so I would probably opt for the yellow car, although I don't really care for the color yellow. If I were to really choose a water cooled 911, my choice would be a 997.2.
@markymarkevans Yes they are both great cars. I think i would take yellow Aero because the 997 is really a fun nimble sports car. The 991 is great but more of a touring car. And. Love the gt3 look on a Carrera S
Do you guys like this Yellow Aero or the Mexico Blue better? I'm split because the Mexico Blue is new and obviously a great car to anyone that sees it - but to porsche people - this Yellow Aero has some character and age that makes it really cool too....

What happened after 9/26/2017? The last entry in the Carfax for the 4th owner says vehicle listed for sale. Did this car basically sit for 1-1/2 years since only 118 miles were added since that last Carfax recorded mileage entry?

@jasun2100 not a GT3 but certainly does look like one! Has books, both keys and will come with the receipt from the last service which did include plugs, coils and all fluids. Thank you for the comment.

Can you publish a DME report?
@IslaTurbine There is some service history on carfax, I asked PCARMARKET to upload the full report. I made sure the car is turn-key and up to date hence the major service that I just had done on the car. A record of the plugs, ignition coils, filters, and oil service will accompany the sale along with all keys and owners manuals.
@MJHanna Hi, appreciate the question. This motor is the post-lawsuit version with the large single row bearing. It is not required to replace it. The new owner can do a direct oil feed if they desire however, again, it is not a requirement but rather a peace of mind thing to do if desired.
