I have the identical car, #82. The new owner will find that he is the center of attraction at any event that he takes this to. The factory doesn't show any great performance changes over the same year 911 TS. I am not so sure. I have several others similar ilk and this one does better on all counts. The same tune is in all of them so it should not be specific but seems to be, just never had it on the dyno. My only problem with the car is that #82 918 comes available in Sept. this may be a very costly reverse addition.
I hope the new owner enjoys it as much as I have.
So cool to see a car as an OPTION for a 918 Spyder build. Literally some first world stuff right here.

Amazing collection of cars shown in video. Wow!
Yes, you are correct. this car was available as an "option" on the build sheet for only the first 918 Spyder buyers. Porsche did it for two reasons. First, they knew it was going to take over a year to finish production of the 918's and this would hopefully give those buyers something to have indicating they actually had one on order. Secondly, Porsche was trying to finish using their last few 997 Body's since the 991 Body was coming out. Many people believe there are 918 made which is not true, their were 918 of the "918 Spyders" made and these cars would have the same car build number as their 918 counterparts. However only 78 buyers checked the $168K option box for their number matching Turbo S! Just lets you know how Rare this Turbo S model is and the provenance needed to even have the opportunity to purchase it!
I have read about this car but never actually seen one in person. Absolutely beautiful. Is it true that the only people porsche would make one of these for were people that committed to the purchase of a 918 that had already set them back close to 1 million dollars.
