Indian introduced the Scout in 1920, which became famed for its user-friendly abilities in an expanding and competitive market. Renowned for its success through the Great Depression, the evolution of the Pont Scout saw a new name, the Junior Scout for the 1937 model year. The Junior Scout continued to boast the Pony’s Indian heritage and classic art-deco styling and was improved with new forks, a sheet metal body, and an updated electrical system. This 1937 Indian Junior Scout has been expertly restored to new condition by Wayne Kruty and the motor has been professionally rebuilt by Bucks Indian. Refinished in its correct regal blue paint with nickel plating and powered by a 30 CI side-valve V-twin engine, this numbers-matching example is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Canada.

The Junior Scout boasts dramatic styling improvements and updates specific to the 1930s, including classic Indian styling and ornate emblems. Meticulously restored by the expert hands of Wayne Kruty, this example is finished in regal blue contrasted with nickel plating and a saddle brown leather seat. Features include an electric headlight taillight, horn, and lighted dash with an ammeter. This example is said to remain in concourse condition, and detailed images are provided in the gallery.

Power comes from a 30 CI side-valve V-twin engine rebuilt by the famed Bucks Indians. New bearings pistons, rings, wheel bearings, and races were installed, and the top end has been fitted with new valves, springs, and guides. Additionally, the correct carburetor has been rebuilt and fitted, along with the 3-speed transmission and new gears. Latter-style heads have been installed with taller fins for improved cooling and the tanks have been sealed.

This motorcycle is accompanied by a bill of sale.
