Available for auction is this 1949 Bentley Mark VI Super Sport Saloon finished in blue over a gray leather interior. The Mark VI was built from 1946 to 1952 and marked the beginning of Bentley's post-war period. Only 5,208 examples are said to have been built and this Mark VI is particularly special as one of only a very few that were bodied by H.J. Mulliner & Co. Ltd. Winner of multiple Rolls-Royce Owners Club Awards, this Mark VI is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida.
This Bentley is finished in a striking blue and rides on aftermarket chrome and body-colored wheels that are dressed in whitewall tires. Defining exterior details include a chrome Bentley hood ornament that sits atop a pronounced rectangular grille, chrome front and rear bumpers, chrome pinstripes that run the length of the body, fender-mounted side mirrors, rear wheel spats, a left-sided single chrome exhaust outlet, and a unique three headlight design. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
Inside, the cabin is primarily appointed in gray leather and features a right-hand drive configuration along with a floor-mounted right-handed shifter. The footwells are covered in blue carpet and gray fabric serves as a roof-liner. Wood trimming comprises the entirety of the dash and extends on the top of each door panel, in addition to serving as the top material for the rear fold-down lap trays. Aside from the three-spoke steering wheel, frequent-use mechanisms are finished in chrome such as the door handles, window crank handles, and passenger grab handles. All gauges, electronics, and accessories are reported to be working properly.
This Mark VI is equipped with a 4,257cc inline-six engine with a single twin-choke carburetor and came from the factory producing approximately 130 HP. Power is sent through a four-speed manual transmission to the rear wheels. Performance features include four-wheel drum brakes, independent front suspension, and live rear suspension.
This sale will include a clean title, spare tire, owner’s manuals, sales brochure/literature, and some documentation.

Fascinating car. I have never seen this body style, either as a Bentley, or Rolls. Do you happen to know the style number, or HJM design number? Thank you.

Thank you so much. This is truly a beautiful example of a Clasic Bently, the restorer of this vehicle. Did an outstanding job and presents well sure to be the pride of any collection. It recently was on display at a world famous event held at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach Florida, where it received many accolades. Good luck bidding!!!
