The Fiat Campagnola was introduced in 1951 as a military vehicle in post-war Italy, and is said to be largely inspired by Willy’s Jeeps left to the Italian armed forces after World War II. The Campagnola name translates to “country girl” in English, due to the fact quickly became adopted for use in the agricultural sector thanks to its part-time four-wheel drive system, locking axles, and two-speed transfer case which was suitable for traversing even the roughest terrain.
