Up for auction is this 1957 Porsche 356 Speedster replica by Vintage Speedsters. Completed in 2020 and titled as a 1967 Volkswagen, this replica is presented in Ivory over red leather and features an air-cooled flat-four engine paired with a 4-speed manual gearbox. With just under 200 miles showing on the odometer, this newly built Speedster replica is now being offered for auction by its second owner out of California.
The handcrafted fiberglass bodywork is finished in Ivory, and a tan German canvas soft top is equipped along with matching side curtains and a boot cover. Additional images are provided in the photo gallery. Some visual highlights include Porsche Speedster badging, dual side-view mirrors, mesh headlight grilles, and 356-style 16” wide-five wheels with chrome nipple hubcaps.
The cabin of this Speedster is appointed with tan square weave carpeting and red leather upholstery on the dashboard, door panels, and bucket seats. Other features include a Nardi-style wood-rimmed steering wheel, 356-style instrument gauges with green numerals, a red leather shift boot, black lap belts, and heater vents in the front footwells. The seller reports all gauges and accessories to be working properly.
The rear wheels are driven by way of a dual-carbureted 1915cc air-cooled flat-four engine paired with a 4-speed 3:88 manual transmission. Stopping power is provided by disc brakes at all four corners and sway bars are equipped for improved handling. Barely 200 miles have been covered since the completion of the build and there are no outstanding maintenance items reported by the seller.
This sale will include a clean title. Offering the iconic styling and visceral air-cooled experience of the original 356 Speedster, this newly built replica provides a fantastic opportunity for any passionate driver.

@replicaspeedster.com built by Arizona vintage.
@kiralyKn , Car is new condition no fire at all. Live in hot weather area .
Was there a fire in the engine compartment? The heater hose on the driver’s side is burned badly.
Was this car built by the new Vintage Owners in Arizona or by the old Vintage Speedsters in California before the company was sold?

@MSQ it has VW engine, was told by vintage has 100HP. Don't have any paperwork to back it up.
@euyeale any idea if its been tuned like some vw's in the application? If not maybe its ~100HP
@MSQ what could tell you is it's 1915 CC engine.
@em4bartz It's not, the car is like new. Had medical case that's why I'm selling it also the previous owner had medical issue hard for both of us to get to the car as the car is very low. Let me know if you have any more questions. You wouldn't be disappointed.
Two owners, 200 miles? Why? Is it a lemon?
@euyeale any idea on what HP & TQ is? Also at ~70mph roughly where is the tach at?

I owned a Beck Speedster for three years. They are as close to the real thing for $350k less. Fabulous build quality on all the Vintage cars that I I have seen. Tilted as a old Volkswagen is a distinct advantage over the Beck which is only described as a kit car.
