Now available for auction is this 1957 Porsche 356A Speedster “Super Widebody” replica by Vintage Speedsters.  Finished in “Ferrari Red” over a Camel Allante leatherette interior, this Speedster replica is said to be one of only two Super Widebody examples built after Vintage Speedsters was sold and relocated to Arizona in 2018. It features adjustable front suspension, independent rear suspension, front disc brakes, and an upgraded 1915cc Type 1 VW engine paired with a 4-speed manual 3:88 "Freeway Flyer" transmission.  Currently showing just under 27k miles on the odometer, this high-quality Speedster replica is being offered for auction by its seller out of California.

The handcrafted fiberglass bodywork features Vintage Speedster’s rare Super Widebody kit and comes finished in Ferrari Red.  A Camel Stafast top is equipped along with matching side curtains. Custom-made "CruZin Windows" are also included for a more comfortable top-down driving experience.  Other exterior details include a Porsche crest on the hood, a Reutter badge on the right front fender, a Deutschland engine grille badge, headlight stone guards, nerf bars, dual aero side mirrors, and a rear luggage rack with custom leather straps, a vintage suitcase, and period tennis racquets.  3M clear paint protection film has also been applied on the nose and over the rear fender flares.  Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a walkaround video.  New Falken front tires are said to have been recently installed and the rear tires are reported to be about one year old.  They measure 225 X 45 ZR17 front and 255 X40 ZR17 rear.

Inside, the cabin is trimmed in Camel Allante leatherette with grey square weave carpeting and tan Coco floor mats.  Noteworthy details include gold Carrera script on the dash, a Nardi-style wood-rimmed steering wheel, Porsche crested horn button, Porsche crested seatbelts, and billet interior door handles.  A battery kill switch is located under the hood as well as a courtesy light beneath the dash.  A loud air horn is equipped for safety and the sound system includes a Sony CDX-GT44OU stereo with remote control. A half tonneau cover, full tonneau cover, and full car cover will also accompany the sale.

Power comes from an air-cooled 1915cc Type 1 Volkswagen engine with big valve heads, dual 44IDF Weber carburetors from Spain, an electric fuel pump, external oil filter, external oil cooler, O-ring sealed high-capacity oil sump, an A1 Sidewinder header, and MagnaFlow muffler.  The ignition system includes a Hyfire VI-A CDI-ignition box, Pertronix 40kV Flamethrower ignition coil, Super Mag 8.5mm plug wire set, and Mallory Unilite with vacuum advance distributor.  The rear wheels are driven through a 4-speed manual 3:88 "Freeway Flyer" gearbox with a transmission brace and quick-ratio reverse lock-out shifter.  Other features include front disc brakes, adjustable ball joint front suspension, independent rear suspension, and adjustable rear spring plates.

This sale will include a car cover, two tonneau covers, custom CruZin Windows, and a clean California title for a 1969 Volkswagen.  This is a rare opportunity to own a genuine Super Widebody by Vintage Speedsters, do not miss out.

It's getting down to the end now and I'd like to point out that these cars are an investment. I've had over 100 of them and all of them are worth more now than I originally sold them for. In fact, I've bought several of them back from the original buyer for more than they paid me when they first bought it. Like someone said " these cars ar rolling 403k plans"

@Sanbar0401 Not sure what you are seeing, but there are no scratches, so it must be shadows or reflections. There are lots of pictures that you can compare to.
Also, I would never post a car for sale that had scratches all over it.

@sce1214 There are 4 holes drilled in the rain tray beneath the engine grill and they are not visible when the rack is removed.
