This 1960 Porsche 356B Cabriolet spent time in Colorado before undergoing refurbishment in Paraguay under previous ownership. Powered by a 1.6-liter flat-four engine paired with a 4-speed manual transmission, it received a recent overhaul of its dual carburetors and a replacement generator, spark plugs, and front sway bar bushings. Refinished in its factory-specified shade of Ivory over red upholstery, it features a black convertible soft top with a matching boot cover, finned drum brakes, Koni shocks, 15″ ventilated steel wheels, a rear luggage rack, a Blaupunkt push-button radio, and more. This 356B is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida.
The Reutter-built T5 bodywork was refurbished and refinished in its factory Ivory (6404) from its previous red respray. It comes equipped with a black convertible soft top with a matching boot cover, body-color bumpers with overriders, a chrome-finished left mirror, rocker panel trim, a rear luggage rack, and integrated exhaust outlets. It rides on silver-finished 15” steel wheels adorned with bright hubcaps and wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. A matching spare wheel with a Michelin tire is stored in the front trunk. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin has been redone with new red vinyl upholstery that extends to the jump seats and door panels, complemented by a body-colored dashboard fascia. Equipment includes a three-spoke steering wheel, analog VDO gauges, black rubber floor mats, a glovebox, door panel storage pockets, and manual roll-up windows. The floor panels were reportedly fitted during refurbishment. All gauges and electronics are reported to be in proper working order.
Power comes from an air-cooled 1,600cc flat-four engine equipped with dual carburetors, which were overhauled in 2023. The rear wheels are driven through a 4-speed manual transmission. Koni shocks have been fitted at all four corners, while finned drum brakes faciliate stopping power. Additionally, the front sway bar bushings were replaced in September 2023, and the generator and spark plugs were replaced in preparation for the sale.
This sale will include the owner’s manuals, a Porsche Production Specifications sheet, and a clean title.

Thanks for youe question. There are photos in the gallery of the restoration. We've had several vehicles that have been restored in Paraguay, because they still have artisans there that do hand metal work and other labor intensive hand work that is rarely done in the US anymore.
@AMGUSA, are there any records or photos of what was done in the refurbishment in Paraguay? Why was this car in Paraguay and for how long?
