Available for auction is this custom outlaw-style 1961 Porsche 356B Reutter Coupe.  This one-of-a-kind example is said to have been purchased by the seller from a collector in Florida who restored the car approximately 10 years ago and upgraded it with a 912 flat-four engine.  Since the seller’s purchase, this 356 has been completely dissembled and refreshed with a new paint color and other custom details.  Reported to be in excellent running order, this 356B is now being offered by its seller in Florida accompanied by a Porsche COA, a collection of invoices, and a clean title.

Since the seller’s purchase, this 356 was completely dissembled before all of the metal Reutter bodywork was dollied-out and smoothed by hand.  A race-style center-fill hood was then added, and the car was completely refinished in a custom shade of “Gainesville Blue” in a base/clear coat.  Yellow and smoked lenses were equipped and 15” Torq Thrust style wheels were installed and painted in charcoal to match the exterior trim. New Yokohama tires were also recently installed with less than 30 miles driven since.

Under the seller’s care, the interior was taken apart and reassembled with Garret distressed blue leather upholstery, Dynamat sound insulation, new carpeting, door panels, and a black headliner.  An aftermarket perforated leather Nardi steering wheel was equipped and widened remanufactured vintage Speedster seats were also installed with adjustable slider bases.  Other unique modifications include Clayton Machine Works door handles and window cranks, custom painted instrument gauges, and Rennline footplates and pedal covers.

During its previous ownership, this 356B was upgraded with a 1.6 L Porsche 912 flat-four engine offering an output of approximately 90 HP.  The rear wheels are driven by way of a 4-speed manual transmission. The nostalgic driving experience has been retained with the stock suspension and braking components. This Coupe is said to be in excellent mechanical order with all necessary maintenance up to date.

This sale will include 1 master key, some records and invoices from the current ownership, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, and a clean title.  Offering custom styling, upholstery, and an upgraded air-cooled engine, this one-of-a-kind 356 is ready to be enjoyed by a new owner.

Morning all, The mods and interior in this car have been done by some of the best on the east coast. the metal work was done by miranda built, one of the finest car builders in the country. the interior by Inner worx in sarasota , the paint by Euro Werks in del ray.
Car drives straight as an arrow at all speeds and pulls very strong. don't let this one get away, its a keeper.

Yes, beautiful build! Curious as to why three exhaust pipes? Can we get a cold start/driving video and pics of the bottom of the car?

Sorry for the confusion, if i recall from the previous owner, the motor was sourced from a 68 912, making it a 1.6. the 2.0 motors i do not think came out until the 914's went into production. i will grab the engine number and look up tonight for an update.

Beautiful outlaw build. Couple q's: Is there a small fuel leak around the fuel sender unit?
Second, I've owned a 912 bored out to 1720cc, but I've never seen a 1600 912 motor bored out to 2.0Liters. Can you clarify? My 1720 made 110 hp, so if this is a 2.0, it should make more than the standard 90 hp of the 1600cc. Any clarifications on the build would be appreciated. Thank you!
