Built by SKJ Customs in 2010, this Factory Five Racing Mk4 Roadster was created as a SEMA show car featuring a Roush 353IR V8 engine paired with a 6-speed Tremec racing transmission and Wilwood disc brakes. Said to produce over 540 HP, this custom Shelby Cobra recreation is now being offered for auction with just over 1,600 miles on the odometer.
The Mk4 Roadster bodywork is constructed of fiberglass and comes finished in Black with Silver double racing stripes. The seller states that $15K was invested in extensive chrome plating in preparation for the SEMA show including the driver’s roll hoop, front grille, bumperettes, windscreen frame, mirrors, engine bay parts, and fuel filler cap. The car is preserved by paint protection film and rides on a set of 17" Hallibarnd knockoff-style chrome wheels dressed in Nitto tires.
The cockpit is lined with black carpeting and features a pair of black leather bucket seats with matching door panels and center console, an engine-turned aluminum dashboard, and a three-spoke Factory Five steering wheel. Accessories include Simpson racing harnesses, an ignition pushbutton, and dash-mounted radio.
The flagship of the Roush 5.0-liter V8 engine family, the 353IR engine in this Mk4 Roadster is said to produce 548 HP, propelling the car up to 130 MPH in just 3rd gear by way of a Tremec 6-speed racing transmission. Stopping power comes from ventilated Wilwood disc brakes at each corner.
This sale will include a clean title.
@Proteng hello Tom
I appreciate your recent message and information regarding this good looking Shelby cobra replica by factory five
I’ve been communicating with Tom at Pcarmarket recently regarding something else, and have seen Jim on YouTube many times
So I may just reach out to Tom and ask him to refer me to Jim., and or pass on some information
Also, perhaps you can communicate with me directly through a direct messaging. I’m not sure if Pekar market has that availability
To continue
I am a Porsche enthusiasts as well, and with limited budget as a residential contractor I’ve been very fortunate to be able to purchase ,hold onto an upgrade, a Porsche of one kind or another, over many years of my adult life.
Additionally, I purchased a 2020 super formants Shelby cobra, custom series replica A few years back, but had a very difficult situation with that car, and California smog (SB-100)
So I am a little gun shy at purchasing another cobra replica honestly
That said, I am still interested and willing to discuss
Kind regards
Steve
I actually also owned a 2010 GT 3
@sportscarguy3 Yes, thanks sportscarguy3 for your interest. It really is an amazing example of a custom-built Factory Five MkIV. As you can see, the seller gave carte blanche to SKJ Customs when he had this built. The seller is a retired real estate developer from New Jersey; he lives down here now full time and has a 6-car garage with lifts. He had this Cobra built with chromed underneath because he wanted to walk under the car and see all the bright chrome. The only reason he's selling is because he took delivery of a new 2023 Porsche GT3 and one of his cars must go to make room. The seller has dropped his 'reserve' since the end of the auction and really wants to sell to a reasonable buyer, not a low-baller. If you contact PCM they will tell you what the bottom, bottom, bottom dollar is on this - I think you will be impressed. I can't type it here in respect to PCM's process. Ask for Jim when you contact PCM- he is up to date on this. Cheers, Tom
Offer in the amount of $70,000
Unfortunately, I had to get to my job site to meet with the client and it took me away from the final 45 minutes of the auction
It is certainly a cobra that I was interested in and still am
Timing is everything
I will try to reach out to the seller and or Pcar market Over the next few days

Hello seller
Much appreciate your attention to my questions and no worries about the length of time
Life happens, and obviously the owner was enjoying his life which is a good thing
I will take a look at the new documents and appreciate as I mentioned your information
Steve
@sportscarguy3 Okay, PCM helped me figure out how to upload those build documents. Please let me know if you have any other question. My name is Tom.

@sportscarguy3 I sorted through the build documents. Simply too much to list here. I'll call PCM to see if there's a way to upload these documents ~ all your answers are within those pages. In short the rear suspension is the IRS kit with Koni shocks, 11.65" rotors, stainless lines. 1993 Mustang GT power steering rack. Can we share email addresses - if so I could email you the documents.
@sportscarguy3 Yes, so sorry sportscarguy3 for the delay. The seller has skiing in Aspen and just returned this morning. Just after lunch he brought to my office a huge stack of documents for the car that I need to sift through for answering your questions. Again sorry about the delay. I'll report back right away as soon as I go through the stack.
P S. I just looked through the cars description again, and the only thing I could find regarding the build other than the engine and the transmission is the Wildwood brakes
Seller, Still waiting to hear about the suspension on this factory five build
Can you please elaborate on the underside suspension type where it was sourced, rear end, brakes, etc.
I don’t believe that information is included in any of the descriptions provided by Pcar

Wow ! This factory, five cobra replica certainly looks different from most, what a good looking cobra replica
Attention to detail is evident almost everywhere, and then you look under the hood, oh my gosh that Roush eight stack
Brakes and transmission clearly understood what products, however, the concerns I’ve had with factory fives over the years is what suspension parts are used is it piece together or from a Mustang or from Jaguar BMW?
Seller, if you could, please share that information, it would be appreciated
Good luck all
Please feel free to ask questions and I'll do my best to answer them promptly. The car is here on consignment. This is an AMAZING Cobra replica, not comparable to any we've sold in the past. The attention to detail and precision is remarkable ~ the seller was over-the-top picky about every micro detail of the build. It has won multiple awards/trophies at car shows through the years. To me what's most impressive is the sound coming out of those pipes - deep rumble that goes into the marrow of your bones when the engine is revved. The sound fits the aggressive look and feel of this car.
