Now available for auction is this 1967 Porsche 911S racecar. Now residing in Georgia where it has been used for occasional track days by its current owner over the last 7 years, this 911S racecar is now being offered for auction accompanied by assorted spare parts, extra Fuchs wheels, and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.
This 911S was refinished in its factory specified special-order color of Tangerine (P2002) at some point under previous ownership. Modifications include louvered pop-out rear quarter windows, front and rear window braces, 911R-style taillights, a 911R-style front bumper with cooling duct inserts, headlight covers, a center-fill hood with tie-downs, and rear fender flares which were installed to accommodate wider Fuchs wheels. Brand new Hoosier tires are currently installed and an additional set of orange-painted Fuchs wheels will also be included in the sale.
The cabin has been partially stripped-out and made race-ready with the addition of a roll cage, a fire suppression system, a MOMO racing steering wheel, track-oriented instrumentation, and racing bucket seats with orange harnesses. The seller indicates all gauges and accessories to be working properly.
This 1967 example has been fitted with an Andial race-prepped 1969 911T flat-six motor paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Dual master brake cylinders have been installed as well. The engine was recently refreshed by MotorWerks in Georgia with the following service items:
