A sporting version of Alfa Romeo’s 105 Series Coupe, the Giulia Spring GT Veloce was introduced as the brand’s latest high-performance model at the 1966 Geneva Motor Show featuring a 1.6L Twin Cam engine borrowed from the Spider 1600 Duetto. This 1967 example is finished in red over black and is said to have been previously restored by Alfa Italia in Burbank, California in 2014. It has been fitted with a LeCarra wood rim steering wheel, updated Magneti Marelli electronic ignition, and 14” GTA-style alloy wheels. Purchased by the current owner directly from its restorers in 2014, this Alfa Romeo is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Michigan.
Compared to its predecessor, the Giulia Sprint GT, the improved Veloce model features a black mesh grille along with stainless steel bumpers and round enamel Quadrifoglio badges on the C-pillars. This example was completely refinished in the current shade of red during its restoration and rides on a set of 14” GTA-style alloy wheels dressed in 205/55 Nitto NT555R Extreme Drag tires. The seller indicates the Veloce-specific chrome front grille bars have been removed. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The black 2+2 interior is adorned with a woodgrain dashboard fascia, grey carpeting, a wooden Alfa-crested shift knob, and a pair of front bucket seats with perforated inserts. An aftermarket LeCarra wood rim steering wheel was added during the restoration along with beige seatbelts. The seller indicates the vintage Blaupunkt AM/FM radio is currently inoperable.
Power is sent to the rear wheels from a Type 00536 1.6L Twin Cam inline 4-cylinder engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The seller notes the engine was refurbished during the restoration and features dual Weber carburetors as well as later-model Magneti Marelli electronic ignition components. Stopping power comes from an ATE four-wheel disc brake system.

The steering wheel is straight, it's the angle of the camera. I don't have any details other than Alfa Italia restored it completing it in 2014. I generally own all my vehicles; however, this Alfa is on consignment with me as I'm assisting a long-term local client of mine in selling off a few vehicles from his extensive Alfa Romeo and Ferrari collection. He purchased it for his collection from Alfa Italia in 2014 following the completion of its restoration.
Under my client's ownership he informed me he's had well known Ann Arbor, MI based Alfa authority Claus Menzel maintain it prior to his passing. It fires right up from cold start and hot starts and runs and drives great, it's a really nice drive.
If it sits for long enough periods of time, it does have some minor oil weep. Nothing of a serious nature, just a natural occurrence of gaskets contracting if it sits long enough as it is a 56-year-old car with its last restoration done 9 years ago.
Additionally, as far as we're aware, this has been a California car most of its existence if not all of its existence and since he's owned it since 2014 it's been housed in his climate-controlled facility with the rest of his collection so never subjected to any inclement Michigan weather.

Hello everyone and welcome to another fine offering courtesy of my dealership Vintique Motors. On offer is this '67 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT Veloce. This GTV is finished in red over black and features a 1.6L inline 4-cylinder twin cam engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission with braking being handled by 4-wheel discs. It was previously restored by Alfa Italia in Burbank, California in 2014 which included a complete repaint and new interior. During the restoration, a LeCarra wood rim steering wheel was selected along with the installation of beige seat belts. Additional modifications include updating to later, front end spindles and rear axle with ATE brakes which is an improvement upon the original Dunlops. It has four-bolt dog bones in place of the original two-bolt dog bones attached to the chassis.
The odometer currently shows 68,644 and has resided in an extensive Alfa Romeo and Ferrari collection in Northville, Michigan since 2014. It is in excellent running and driving condition and ready for immediate enjoyment.
