This 1968 Fiat 500L has undergone a custom restoration inspired by the rare Abarth 695 SS model. It features wide fender flares, Eurodisk wheels, red vinyl bucket seats, power windows, a sound system, cross-drilled front disc brakes, and a modified straight-twin engine. The restoration was carried out by a Fiat 500 specialist in Europe about 2 years ago and the car was imported to the U.S. by the selling dealer in April 2023. This custom Abarth 595 SS tribute is now being offered for auction out of Florida.
This Fiat 500L has been modified with fender flares and refinished in white with a retractable black cloth sunroof. Equipment includes dual chrome mirrors, chrome bumpers and door handles, Abarth badging, red brake calipers, and gold 13” Eurodisk four-spoke wheels. Additional images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin has been redone and features a pair of red vinyl bucket seats with matching door panels, carpeting, and a rear bench seat, Accessories include a black center console with red contrasting piping, a red shift boot, a three-spoke steering wheel, power windows, door pockets, a Veglia Borletti speedometer, a dashboard-mounted tachometer, an analog clock, aftermarket speakers, and a sound system.
A modified air-cooled straight-twin engine sends power to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission. Stopping power comes from cross-drilled disc brakes in the front and drum brakes in the rear. The seller describes the car to be in excellent driving condition.
