Available for auction is this 1970 Chevrolet Nova finished in Mulsanne Blue with Yenko tribute stripes.  Introduced in 1961 as the Chevy II, the iconic Nova namesake was first used in 1969 for the third generation of Chevy’s midsize coupe.  Said to have undergone a custom restoration prior to the current owner’s purchase about 7 years ago, this 1970 example features a ZZ502 Big Block GM crate motor, an upgraded 700R4 automatic transmission, a 12-bolt Moser rear-end, an updated Vintage Air A/C system, all new glass, and a refurbished black vinyl interior. This nicely restored and thoroughly upgraded Chevrolet Nova is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York.

During the restoration, this Nova was refinished in the current shade of Mulsanne Blue and fitted with chrome bumpers, white Yenko tribute stripes, and Yenko fender emblems. All the glass is said to have been replaced and the seller notes a small ding on the driver's door and a scratch on the rocker panel, additional photos are provided in the gallery. The chrome 15” American Racing wheels come dressed in BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires with white lettering.

The cabin has been redone with new carpeting, headliner, and black vinyl bucket seats.  Other features include a new factory-style console, a horseshoe shifter, a three-spoke Chevy steering wheel, and an updated Vintage Air A/C system.  Additional gauges have also been added below the dashboard including a separate Ultra-Lite II tachometer. The seller confirms all gauges to be fully functional at this time.

Power comes from a General Motors ZZ502 Big Block crate engine outfitted with an Edelbrock RPM air gap intake, FitTech fuel injection, stainless steel fuel lines, billet accessory drive, and a mild cam upgrade with roller rockers.  This engine is paired with a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission that has been reworked by Select Performance to handle up to 700 HP.  Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 12-bolt Moser rear-end with 4.11 gears.  Additional performance upgrades include an Aeromotive Stealth fuel tank with an internal pump, Caltrac mono-leaf suspension, polyurethane bushings, and sub-frame connectors by Chris Alston Chassis Works.

This sale will include a set of two keys, a spare tire, and a New York registration.  An American automotive icon and a proper high-power muscle car, this custom restored Chevy Nova is ready to begin its journey with a new owner.

    @blackdogcars @blackdogcars:
    I was told it was a originally a V8 but I did not confirm that. It came to me with a 350 and 3 speed auto on the column.
    I have receipts for most of items that went into the car. There are no paint bubbling or rust spots that i know of.

    @BRichardt - Very nice Nova. What was the original engine and transmission configuration on the car? What documentation comes with the car? Do you have the receipts on the resto work? Any bubbling anywhere in the paint or any rust concerns?

    Thanks c9c for pointing out the coolant. it was minor issue from the temperature sensor for Fitech fuel injection, the issue is resolved.

    Thanks for the comment. I see what you are referring to in the picture. I am not sure what that is but if that is a leak I will get that addressed before the car moves on to a new owner. There are no puddles under that car.

    Looks like a puddle of coolant n the driver side intake. Any idea what is leaking? Beautiful Nova!!
