This Fiat 500F was purchased by the current owner in 2021 and was subsequently restored and converted to Ghia-style Jolly. In addition to a cosmetic and mechanical overhaul, the engine was also upgraded to a 600cc displacement and paired with a synchromesh manual gearbox. Barely driven since the completion of the restoration, this charming microcar is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Italy.
The car is said to have been completely sandblasted during the restoration and refinished in the current shade of green along with the replacement of all oxidized parts, reinforcement of the passenger compartment, and conversion to a fringed white soft top. Accessories include a rear luggage rack with leather straps, chrome stainless-steel bumpers and side moldings, and painted 12” steel wheels dressed in new whitewall tires. The seller notes a few scratches are present on the windshield. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The painted cabin is lined with new black carpeting and rubber floor mats along with brown Venetian wicker seats. Accessories include a painted two-spoke steering wheel, seatbelts, an under-dash storage shelf, a wicker-wrapped passenger grab handle, and a brown leather shift knob.
The standard 499cc air-cooled engine is said to have been rebuilt to a 600cc displacement during the restoration and serviced with a new timing chain, pistons, rings, belts, filters, and spark plugs. The rear wheels are driven through a 4-speed manual gearbox. The restoration also included new shock absorbers and wheel bearings along with brake drums, shoes, and cylinders.
This sale will include a clean title, a toolkit, and a spare tire.
