This 1970 Fiat 500 MyCar edition, a fixed-roof variant built by Carrozzeria Francis Lombardi in collaboration with Fiat, is powered by a 650cc inline-twin engine paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. Previously refurbished, this example is refinished in white with a Martini-style center stripe and features a reupholstered black interior. Notable equipment includes an aftermarket exhaust, a raised hardtop, 12” steel wheels, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, and more. This special-edition Fiat 500 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Georgia.

The MyCar edition stands out from the standard Fiat 500 with unique design elements, including a revised front grille and updated body lines. This example was refinished in white during its refurbishment and is accented by a Martini-style center stripe, Martini logo decals on the hood and sides, and #51 roundels on the doors. Additional exterior features include a raised hardtop, a front fascia with inset headlights, and a chrome-finished grille. It rides on 12” steel wheels wrapped in Michelin MX tires at the front and Hankook Optimo tires at the rear. The seller notes minor paint imperfections, including scratches and touch-ups on the right quarter panel flare and rear bumper corner. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.

The cabin offers front and rear seats reupholstered in black with white piping and matching headrest inserts, complemented by a black dashboard with a white leather insert. It is equipped with a MyCar edition-specific three-spoke, wood-rimmed adorned with a Francis Lombardi-branded center cap. Additional features include pop-out rear quarter windows, while the front trunk houses the fuel tank and spare tire. All gauges and electronics are reported to be in proper working order with no warning lights illuminated.

Power comes from a rear-mounted 650cc inline-twin engine, which sends power to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission.  An aftermarket exhaust has been installed, and most recent maintenance in 2023 includes a rebuilt carburetor, as well as the replacement of brake lines, spark plugs, the distributor cap, condenser, and rotor button. The seller notes a dented oil pan and visible corrosion on underbody components.

This sale will include a toolkit, and a spare tire. A clean title will also accompany the sale, listing the vehicle as a 1976 model, which is noted to be a clerical error made during U.S. importation.

The seller would like you to know: “This is a really cool piece of Italian history that now resides here in Atlanta, Georgia. This was Fiat’s “people’s car” that paired nicely alongside the Citroën 2CV, Austin Mini, BMW Isetta, and the Volkswagen Beetle of the day. These were excellent cars for post-war Europe with their small size to traverse medieval city streets and offered mechanical simplicity for ease of repairs for the masses. Fiat sold nearly 4 million 500s. They make great classic cars today with their low entry price and still wonderful parts availability.

This particular example sports the legendary Martini livery which gives off a bit of attitude pairing well with the 650cc powerplant — think chihuahua that’s escaped from a designer handbag and is out to bite some ankles. We’ve recently serviced the car up at the Italian specialty shop Merlin Auto Group and we’ve bombed it all around Atlanta in both summer and winter.

We are available to show this car via appointment. In the meantime, please view the detailed gallery we had our auction specialist put together as well as the video linked above. If you have any questions, please feel free to DM or comment here. Thanks for looking!”

With a little over 5 hours until the end of the auction we'll be available today to answer last-minute questions on this fun little Fiat! We're hoping to see it find a good home by the end of the day, good luck to all!

Good morning enthusiasts! Over the weekend we had a question about cabin size. One of our drivers is 6'4" and fits in the seat well with little discomfort. There's ample leg room and head room under that. Looks can be deceiving!

@srodgrg I'd love to say that we can but we spent the better part of a year working on it and because it was imported and titled in Florida first (as a '76) the state of Georgia has denied multiple attempts with correction forms, etc. We did put the leg work in to try before selling. The other option would be to register the car via "bill of sale only/registration only" for the next owner in hopes of correcting.

Can you get the title corrected to properly show 1970 rather than 1976? It makes a big difference for registering in some states (i.e. California).
    Thanks!

Good afternoon all, despite a lack of comments (perhaps that means we've done our job with representation) we've had a couple questions come through regarding normal drivability. While we haven't had the car on an interstate it's very happy to tackle highways and normal city driving in Atlanta. You won't be disappointed!
