A piece of motorsport heritage, this 1970 Ford F-600 was reportedly used in the 1970s as a race support vehicle for Vasek Polak, renowned for founding North America’s first stand-alone Porsche dealership, his expertise as a mechanical expert and accomplished racer, and his role in establishing Porsche as a powerhouse in motorsports. This cab is finished in white with hand-painted BMW lettering, while the cargo box showcases painted Vasek Polak graphics, a roll-up door, a hydraulic liftgate with ramps, wood flooring, overhead lighting, a removable stairway, an integrated Snap-On toolbox, and much more. Powered by a 360ci V8 engine mated to a 4-speed manual transmission, this iconic hauler is now offered for auction by its seller out of California.

The truck was refinished in white as part of the refurbishment, with hand-painted lettering applied to the cab. The cargo box features red, white, and blue painted stripes honoring Porsche’s motorsport division, along with Vasek Polak branding, and Porsche crests. Equipment includes a swing-out side door with a window, power outlets, and brackets for a removable stairway. Additional features include dual swing-away exterior mirrors, cab clearance lights, side storage compartments, and side steps. A set of white-painted 19.5″ Isuzu steel wheels are mounted with 245/70 Prin tires. The cargo box equips a hydraulic liftgate and ramps, and a gray-painted roll-up rear door. Features include a wood-lined floor, diamond-plate lower protective trim, overhead lighting, and a Snap-On toolbox finished in red. The seller states the box measures approximately 234" in length, 92" in width, and 114" in height, with the gate offering a clearance of approximately 84" and the ramps extending about 151". Detailed images are provided in the gallery including photos of the repaint process.

Inside, the driver is supplied with a black vinyl bench seat, matching floor mats, and white-painted surrounds. Amenities include a dash-mounted Blaupunkt AM/FM/cassette radio, although the door panel speakers have been removed. The three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a 100-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges, while an Autogage tachometer has been mounted to the steering column. The seller notes that the steering wheel horn button and interior dome light fixture are missing.

Factory rated at 215 HP and 327 lb.-ft of torque, the 360ci V8 was reportedly rebuilt during the refurbishment. The seller adds that the radiator and hydraulic pump were also replaced at the time. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission. The seller suggests adjusting the rear-end gearing.

This sale will include a clean title.

    A few questions:
    1. Condition & age of tires?
    2. Do you have any info on cruising speed?
    3. Where has the truck been stored, inside or outside?
    4. What maintenance or repairs are know to be needed or suspected, other than those mentioned in the listing, brakes , hoses, belts, fluid leaks for examples? Last oil change?
    5. Would there be any concerns with a drive of a couple thousand miles?
    6. Any info on MPG?
    7. Was the engine rebuild in 1970? Miles on engine since rebuild?

    Thanks and GLWTS,
    Chuck in Texas
