This 1972 International Harvester Scout II comes finished in Brittney Blue over a black and gray upholstery and is powered by a 350ci V8 paired with 4-speed automatic transmission and an NP241C transfer case. It has undergone a comprehensive full-frame restoration and has been extensively customized with a removable hardtop, Rallye-style graphics in black, carbon-fiber bolt-on fender flares, custom taillights, fabricated steel bumpers, Bilstein 5100 shocks, a lift kit, and 17" Pro Comp wheels. It also boasts performance upgrades, including power steering, power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, an Edelbrock intake manifold, a four-barrel carburetor, an HEI-style distributor, an aluminum radiator, dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers, and Chevrolet-sourced 3/4-ton front and rear axles. Showing approximately 250 miles on the odometer since its complete restoration, this Scout is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California.
This truck was refinished in Brittney Blue during its full-frame restoration process and is equipped with a removal hardtop, black Rallye-style graphics, carbon-fiber bolt-on fender flares, and hood vents. Additionally, it features aftermarket steel bumpers, LED driving lights and turn signal indicators, custom taillights, and a white grille surround. It rides on black-finished 17” Pro Comp wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A K02 tires. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The interior showcases front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black and gray vinyl, complemented by a black dashboard, door panels, and new carpeting. It is equipped with floor-mounted Sidewinder shifter and custom embroidered floor mats, along with dashboard-mounted toggle switches to provide control over vehicle functions. The seller notes the radio and cabin heater are missing, but all other gauges and electronics are reported to be in working order.
The replacement 350ci V8 engine reportedly underwent a rebuild by a previous owner and features upgrades such as a forged crankshaft and pistons, HP connecting rods, an Edelbrock intake manifold, and aluminum cylinder heads. Other performance enhancements include a four-barrel carburetor, an HEI-style distributor, an aluminum radiator, cast exhaust manifolds, and finned valve covers. Power is transmitted to the rear or all four wheels via a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission with a shift kit, an NP241C transfer case, and Chevrolet-sourced 3/4-ton front and rear axles. The transmission also underwent a rebuild in January 2024, and the frame received powder coating in a prior restoration. A dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers was installed in 2021. The truck is also equipped with power steering, Bilstein 5100 shock absorbers, a suspension lift kit, and manually locking front hubs, while braking power is facilitated by power-assisted discs at each corner.
This sale will include a spare tire and a clean title.
