Available for auction is this 1973 Lincoln Continental Mark IV Silver Luxury Group finished in Silver Moondust Metallic over a Dark Red leather interior. Following a special edition Continental to commemorate the marque’s 50th anniversary in 1971, Lincoln followed up with the introduction of the Silver Luxury Group for its Continental in 1973 which again included a unique paint color and special trim. This example has remained under the care of its original owner since new and comes equipped with a 7.5-liter V8 engine, power accessories, automatic climate control, and more. Having been serviced and detailed earlier in 2022, this Continental is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California while showing approximately 6,600 miles on the odometer.
This Mark IV comes finished in Silver Moondust Metallic with a Silver Levant Grain vinyl roof, Opera windows, a "Continental spare tire" decklid, hideaway headlamps, and a tall radiator-style grille. The seller reports that the finish remains in great overall condition aside from a small scratch above the driver’s side headlight. Detailed images can be found in the gallery. It rides on a set of 15” turbine-style wheels that were dressed in new all-season tires in April 2022.
The cabin is trimmed in Dark Red leather with button-tufted bench seating and matching carpets, door panels, dashboard, and headliner. Amenities include power-operated front seats, trunk release, and windows, woodgrain inlays on the dashboard and door panels, a tilt steering wheel, and automatic climate control. The air conditioning system was serviced and updated with R134 refrigerant in April 2022 along with rebuilt window motors.
Power comes from a 7.5-liter V8 engine that drives the rear wheels by way of a 3-speed automatic transmission. The Lincoln Mark IV came equipped as standard with power steering and Ford’s "Sure-Track" brakes. Earlier in 2022, a comprehensive service was carried out which included a rebuilt carburetor, a brake fluid flush, removal and cleaning of the fuel tank, and a new battery.

@nobrakes Yes the A/C does blow cool air. The a/c system was serviced 4/2022 I’ve driven around town on occasion with no problems, as far as a road trip I would think so, but can’t Guarantee it.

I wonder if these are the longest doors ever manufactured? I mean, you need 3 parking spaces to properly get in and out of this low-slung beauty. Bidding better pick up because there is a reserve here and we cannot be close to it yet.
