This 1973 Porsche 911T Coupe is the subject of a custom RSR-style restoration by Accumoto Motorsport of Wisconsin. Finished in Aetna Blue, the car has been fitted with steel fender flares, lightweight fiberglass bumpers, and a replacement 3.2-liter flat-six engine paired with a 5-speed manual transaxle and a Wavetrac limited-slip differential. It also features a MoTeC fuel injection system, Rasant individual throttle bodies, a Web Cam performance camshaft, Bilstein RSR-style shocks and struts, Sway-A-Way adjustable torsion bars, RSR-stye sway bars, LED headlights, Marchal front driving lights, custom leather upholstery, Recaro sport seats, WEVO GateShift shifter, and a MOMO Prototipo steering wheel. Accompanied by Accumoto build documentation showing an expenditure of over $207k, this custom RSR-inspired 911T is now being offered for auction out of Colorado.
This 911T was stripped to bare metal and fitted with lightweight fiberglass bumpers and wide steel fender flares. Finished in the early 1960s Porsche color of Aetna Blue, the exterior includes aftermarket LED headlamps, hood-mounted Marchal driving lights, rubber hood straps, bright window trim, chrome door handles, a polished driver’s side mirror, pop-out rear quarter windows, and dual center-mounted tailpipes. The car rides on 15” Fuchs-style wheels dressed in new 18/60 front and 23/62 rear Michelin TB15 Racing tires. The seller notes the full exterior is preserved by clear paint protection film which shows some signs of road-going wear. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The black interior features custom leather-trimmed Recaro sport seats with diamond-stitched centers, charcoal square-weave carpeting, custom RS-style door panels, and a leather-wrapped three-spoke MOMO Prototipo steering wheel. Other accessories include a WEVO GateShift shifter assembly with a 917-style wooden shift knob, black aluminum Rennline floorboards, a radio/blower block-off plate, a 10k-rpm VDO tachometer, and a 150-mph speedometer. The seller indicates the mileage on the odometer reflects the distance traveled since the build was completed.
Sourced from a 1989 Porsche 911 Carrera, the air-cooled 3.2-liter flat-six replacement engine features MoTeC fuel injection, Rasant individual throttle bodies, and a Web Cam performance camshaft. The rear wheels are driven through a Type 915 5-speed manual transaxle including an 8:31 final drive ratio, a California Motorsports billet aluminum bearing plate, and a Wavetrac limited-slip differential. The 3.2-liter flat-six was sourced from a 1989 911 Carrera and features Rasant individual throttle bodies, a MoTeC fuel injection system, and a Web Cam performance camshaft. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Type 915 five-speed manual transaxle equipped with a California Motorsports billet aluminum bearing plate, an 8:31 final drive ratio, and a Wavetrac limited-slip differential. Accumoto produces some of the best purpose built air cooled cars on the market. Don't blame the seller for holding on to this one.
Unfortunately, we didn't get there today. The car reached $180000 at a previous auction and was missing all of the build documentation that is now present. We are open to offers.

This are truly remarkable, especially when crafted on a period-correct short chassis. The attention to detail and the quality of the work really shine through. A thoughtfully chosen engine solution can make all the difference in a project like this. While classic options such as a 3.4L MFI or a 3.2L short-stroke are fantastic and carry that vintage charm, builds like this—with modern enhancements or reliability-focused updates—appeal to those who want to enjoy the car without constantly having to tinker with it.
One of the key factors in the enduring value of a build like this is the extensive time and effort required to execute it properly. A two-year build timeline + is not uncommon, reflecting the meticulous craftsmanship involved. The rarity of good donor cars only adds to the significance of such projects. As these donor cars become harder to find, the value of well-executed builds will likely continue to appreciate.
The choice of color and the overall aesthetic of this build are another standout aspect. It’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into making the car not only mechanically excellent but also visually striking. A build like this is not just a car; it’s a testament to the passion and dedication of its creators. Whether it’s destined for spirited drives, weekend getaways, or even the occasional show, this car is sure to turn heads and bring immense satisfaction to its owner and will keep the value over time, will probably just cost more!

@orangina Electric AC solution is probably the way to go in this car anyways. The factory AC in the long nose cars was kind of a joke.
Live in Florida I wish it had AC

@Wuliangye There is definitely pros and cons to either car, but overall the air cooled stuff is just more special. Nowadays, a well executed outlaw seems to be just as valuable as an original car if not more. I feel like the appreciation for restomods is higher than ever.
Thank you for your response. An additional 100 HP is significant. Great build, covering every detail. The Outlaw/Backdate market is starting to catch on. Still way undervalued. Paying over sticker today for GT-3's in comparison to owning an Outlaw/Backdate seems to be a No brainer. Drive to your local car show in this beauty and everyone will understand.
@Wuliangye I was told around 320hp and by the way the car feels it seems accurate. I am not sure about the torque figure.
Can’t say enough positive things about Accumoto … bid with confidence !
Starting with a standard 3.2 Hp is 230 Torque 290 With the addition of Rasant individual throttle bodies, MoTeC fuel injection system, Web Cam performance camshaft, are just 3 of the modifications listed as I am sure there are other goodies the builder utilized. What are the results of these modifications HP and Torque ?
Great car…. I commissioned this build with Mark at Accumoto. Fun car to drive. Good luck with the sale!
@Wuliangye I am not sure I understand your question. Information on which results?
The 3.2 rebuild is a great build. You covered every detail possible. Considering the significant investment do you have any information on the results?? Thanks
@PorschePhanatic I will upload a bunch tomorrow morning. We’ve had some snow and it has been challenging to get the car to my lift.
Any underside pics?
