Now available is this 1973 Porsche 911 T Coupe presented in Dark Blue Metallic over a black RS-style interior.  Having undergone a total custom restoration under the current ownership, this fuel-injected 1973 example has been completely refinished and modified with RS body styling as well as some tasteful performance upgrades.  Highlighting a number’s matching drivetrain, this 911 T is now being offered by its seller in New Mexico accompanied by a comprehensive collection of records as well as a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.

Under the current ownership, this 911 was completely refinished in the dark metallic Audi color of Aruba Blau (LX5V).  Wurth Stoneguard Grey underbody sealant was also applied to the floor pans during this time.  The paint is said to remain in exceptional condition with the front hood and roof recently refinished to maintain a pristine appearance.  Customizations include a fiberglass RS-style Ducktail rear decklid, an RS-style rear bumper, and a 911S-type front bumper.  New H4 headlights assemblies have also been installed along with a passenger side-view mirror.  This 911 rides on genuine Fuchs wheels which have been completely refurbished by restoration expert Harvey Weidman. These 7”x15” wheels come dressed in healthy Yokohama tires.

The black interior has been redone with RS-style door panels and carpeting.  The front seat cushions were improved, the headliner was replaced, and the tachometer was professionally rebuilt.  New instrument bezels were also installed along with a Moto-Lita steering wheel, Coco floormats, and a felt trunk liner.  An original Blaupunkt radio remains in place and the seller confirms all gauges and accessories to be fully functional.

The U.S. market example features an air-cooled 2.4 L flat-six engine which was equipped with Bosch CIS fuel injection for the 1973 model year.  Approximately 140 HP stock is sent to the rear wheels by way of a number’s matching 5-speed manual gearbox.  This 911 has been upgraded with brand-new SSI heat exchangers, an RSR-style Dansk exhaust, PerTronix electronic ignition, and Carrera-style chain tensioners.

The seller indicates that the engine was overhauled during the 1980s at 95,042 miles.  More recent maintenance items include valve adjustments, a new ignition coil, 2 new engine valve covers, new tie rod ends and steering rack boots, new batteries, and a full oil service.  This 911 T is noted to be in fantastic running order with a collection of service records showing proper maintenance.

This sale will include a set of 2 keys, owner’s books, records, a new jack and toolkit, two sun visors, a clean title, and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.  Offering RS styling and a traditional air-cooled driving experience, this tastefully customized 911 T is not to be missed.

@bretlaw3 That's how it was when I purchased this Porsche in November 2009.

  • bretlaw3 (registered bidder) 3 years, 5 monthsago

@zia911 picture 31 right above the gas pedal. It appears to be some sort of panel with three screws holding it in place.
