Now available for auction is this 1973 Porsche 911T Coupe finished in Bahia Red over black leatherette. Produced in the latter half of the 1973 model year, this 911T Coupe is among the final examples of the original long-hood Porsche 911. Accompanied by the factory window sticker, sales literature, owner’s manuals, and tools, this 911T has been cared for by three owners since new while earning awards at various concours events throughout the years. Retaining its numbers matching fuel-injected flat-six engine and 5-speed manual gearbox, this highly collectible 911T has been freshly serviced and is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Alabama.
This 911T comes finished in its factory specified color of Bahia Red and sports U.S. market bumperettes, black horn grilles and badging, a single driver-side mirror, and a 911S-style front spoiler. The seller describes the paintwork and body panels to be in excellent condition overall, detailed images are provided in the gallery. This Coupe rides on factory 15” Fuchs wheels fitted with colored Porsche center crests and Michelin Primacy MXV4 tires.
Inside, this Coupe features reupholstered black leatherette seats with a matching dashboard, door panels, and beige headliner. Equipment includes red and black Coco floormats, a vintage Blaupunkt radio, aluminum doorsills, manual wind-up windows, and a loudspeaker mounted in the center dashboard. An upgraded A/C system had been dealer-installed under prior ownership and the seller confirms all electrical features and instrumentation to be working properly. The value displayed on the 5-digit odometer is said to reflect the car’s true mileage.
This 911T derives power from an air-cooled 2.4L flat-six engine equipped with Bosch CIS fuel injection. The rear wheels are driven by way of a numbers matching 5-speed 915 manual transmission. Extensive records are said to accompany the sale and a recent service included replacement of both batteries, a new CDI box, rebuilt warmup regulator, and an oil and filter change.
This sale will include a vast collection of records and documentation, the original owner's manuals, window sticker, toolkit, and a clean title. Marking the end of the long-hood era, this fuel-injected 1973 911T makes a great investment as well as a fine choice for concours events, local car gatherings, and weekend drives.

@Renti The CIS 911T is represented honestly (nothing omitted); it's not been detailed (exterior, interior engine or undercarriage), the photos are not from a "pro", yet casual iPhone photos and video -- thus it's not embellished in any way. It's one of our 80+ Porsche collection cars, thus is a very special example to pass such scrutiny. We currently offer and have sold many top-tier investment class longhood's and this is the nicest example of it's class we've encountered. It's a rare 3 owner example with extensive records & ownership history, in beyond excellent original condition; all factors that add significant value. It's engine is very strong for a 1973.5 CIS 911T; as strong as similar class 1973 911E's -- it's power delivery is strong yet smooth & linear, it shifts, handles and drives as good as any comparable longhood of it's class (it's A/C is also the best I've encountered in the class). Once we decided to offer the 911T out of our collection we had it inspected & service by our preferred aircooled specialty shop, thus it's ready to be enjoyed.

Given the current bid, I must bow out of the bidding on this beautiful 911T (since I value my marriage)! However, it’s great watching this auction. Terrific submission, good luck to everyone.
Instead of showing the perfection of the car, can you list the imperfections, if any?
@jeff777 Just uploaded 74 undercarriage photos and 12 headliner photos as requested.

This car was recently serviced in our shop. It’s one of the nicest I’ve seen. The engine is very strong. It drives exceptionally well. The CIS versions are the grand finale for the long hoods.

@jeff777 Hi. Yes you can exchange bumper guards and grill to chrome versions.Possibly you need some polish after exchange.
Nice car!
Bid in the amount of $21,000
Will the chrome and rubber bumper guards fit this card like the 1972 911T? Also, will chrome horn grills fit this car? Thank you.

Additional close-ups of the exterior have been added to the gallery along with images of the drivetrain stampings, VIN tags, and original window sticker.
@Chipper I'm unclear about your statement; there are absolutely no problems. We take our reputation very seriously; if you have any issue or misconception that I can clarify, please contact me directly. The requested photos of the VIN sticker, VIN plate, chassis VIN stamp, engine# & transmission# stamps have been uploaded to Pcar Admin; should be in the image gallery soon.
Can we get a pic of the main VIN and engine number as trissl are well known for problems in that area. Thanks
Bid in the amount of $10,000
@Ravenna45 Yes; as mentioned in the write-up it's matching#. The owner manuals and a vast amount of records are shown in image #113. The tools & jack are shown in image #107 & 108; yes the engine has been done and is very strong.
Out of curiosity is this a #s matching drive train? I see only one key. Are there owners manuals, tools? I also see that the tensioners have not been upgraded. Has there been any major engine work done?
I'd be deep into this auction if I didn't own the clone of this car. GLWTA!
This is a really nice car. Someone is going to be very happy.
@fastricky It's a Porsche dealer installed AC system that blows harder & colder air than the OEM implementations from the era; is very clean & obscured unlike the OEM implementation that installed under the dash/knee-bar (& you hit you in the knees if tall - see photo #63, #73, #75) -- #74 shows the large AC vent in the center of the footwells.
Gorgeous, I'm biased as I have an identical Bahia Red CIS 911T. Was the underdash A/C plenum removed or is there another way the A/C works?
