Available for auction is this 1976 Cadillac Coupe DeVille finished in Brentwood Brown Metallic over an Antique Light Buckskin Leather interior. Representing the fourth generation of Cadillac’s DeVille, this 1976 example is said to have been kept in storage for approximately 40 years by the original owner’s family after it was only driven a handful of times. In 2018, it was sold to a prominent Cadillac collector before being acquired by the seller in 2022. Showing less than 300 miles on the odometer, this DeVille is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida.

For 1976, the DeVille received a redesigned grill and cornering lamps, while the taillight bezels gained new chrome trim. This example is finished in Brentwood Brown Metallic with a brown padded vinyl landau roof, rear fender skirts, and chrome bumpers. The rear bumper filler panels were replaced and color matched as the original pieces deteriorated while in storage. A collection of detailed images can be found in the gallery. It rides on a set of 15” wheels with stainless-steel Cadillac wheel covers and original Uniroyal whitewall tires.

The cabin is upholstered in Antique Light Buckskin Leather with matching door panels, carpets, and dashboard. Amenities include woodgrain accents on the steering wheel, dashboard, and door panels, a power adjustable driver’s seat, cruise control, a digital clock, and power windows, antenna, mirrors, and door locks. In preparation for this sale, the radio antenna mast and reverse lights were repaired, and the air conditioning compressor was rebuilt. The seller confirms all gauges, electronics, and accessories remain fully functional.

Power comes from a 500ci V8 engine that drives the rear wheels by way of a column-shifted TH400 three-speed automatic transmission. In March 2022, the coolant was flushed, various filters were replaced, and an oil and filter change were carried out courtesy of Eurotech Auto Services of Delray Beach, Florida. The seller confirms there are no outstanding service items at this time, although the original tires are recommended to be replaced before driving the car.

This sale will include a clean title.

@PEDIGREE11 sorry. What I shared was a link to someone selling a license plate frame from barber motors in ohio just like the one on the car you are selling. I just thought it was a funny coincidence

  • PEDIGREE11 (seller) 1 year, 6 monthsago

@Carfan1978 There is a front frame on it. The auction company covers it.

  • PEDIGREE11 (seller) 1 year, 6 monthsago

@Carfan1978 What are you specifically asking?

  • Carfan1978 (registered bidder) 1 year, 6 monthsago

I assume you are aware of this sale for Barber Motors license plate frame but thought it interesting since your super low mile Cadillac CDV has one on the front

What state is the current title from that will go to the winning bidder. Did you indicate the fender filler pieces have been replaced. This highly rare specimen Would look nice Parked beside, under or over my 75 Fleetwood brougham d'Elegance in emberust firemist metallic with sandlewood top and rosewood cloth interior that I purchased in May 2022 with 19500+ miles. Although there are many cdv made from that era, few were preserved as this one. As an example when I had my 76 eldo convertible an older guy in next town asked me if a wanted another one. He said it had 900 miles. I went to look at it on west coast of FL in a storage unit. He had it under a condo in east coast for many years. When you raised the hood the flat inside parts of front genders were covered in rust from salt spray off Atlantic for the years it sat there before he moved to south west coast. It was in need of exterior restoration even though it had less than 1k miles

Hello everyone and welcome to our auction of our 1976 Cadillac Coupe Deville. This all original, 272 mile example is one of the finest there are. It DOES have an actual miles title and it like new in nearly every respect. We were told the original owner took delivery of it on a Wednesday evening. He drove it to work Thursday and Friday and over the weekend. Unfortunately, he passed away that Monday. The family kept the car for over 40 years. They maintained it and stored it properly. The evidence is in its spectacular original condition. Even all of the rubber seals look new. With the exception of the rear bumper fillers everything on this car is exactly the way it was when it left the show room in 1976.

In 2018 it was acquired by a large Cadillac collector. He recently parted with some of his collection and we are fortunate to have it now.

We are happy to show this car to potential bidders by appointment. If you have any questions or would like to set an appointment to see it, please click on contact seller for a fast response.
