Up for auction is this eye-catching IROC inspired Porsche 911 SC presented in Carrara White with contrasting Mexico Blue livery. Featuring an upgraded 3.2 L engine sourced from a mid-80’s Carrera, this 1980 example underwent and intensive glass-out repaint prior to being outfitted with custom exterior body components as well as a performance-oriented cockpit. Shown to be in very nice overall condition, this 911 is said to have always been properly serviced and is now being offered for auction.
This 911 is stated to have undergone a professional glass-out respray in the classic Porsche color of Carrara White. All new rubber seals were installed during this time and the seller notes that photos and documentation were kept throughout the process. The exterior is said to remain in very good condition, detailed images are provided in the photo gallery. Noteworthy modifications include distinctive fiberglass front and rear bumpers as well as a fiberglass rear wing and 935 inspired side mirrors. An eye-catching Mexico Blue “Carrera” livery has also been applied, a nod to the updated 3.2 L engine. This 911 rides on OEM Fuchs wheels with custom Mexico Blue inlays which are currently dressed in Sumitomo tires dated 2012.

This 911 SC’s original power plant has been upgraded to a larger 3.2L flat-six engine sourced from a 1984 Carrera. This powerful air-cooled engine sends over 207 HP to the rear wheels by way of its original 5-speed manual transmission, putting full control in the hands of the driver. An engine performance chip has been installed as well as a Rybotec short shifter, front-mounted oil cooler and dual center-outlet exhaust system. Other upgrades include a larger 21mm front sway bar and stainless-steel brake lines. Showing 179k miles on the odometer, this 911's 3.2 L engine is said to bear approximately 80k miles. The seller states that this 911 has been primarily serviced by an authorized Porsche dealership and kept up to date on all scheduled maintenance.

Are there any videos of this sc starting, driving?
My bad, the previous discussion was regarding another gap at the right rear of the hood/fender joint. Can you please provide further alternate photos of these left & right side joints to disprove a discrepancy between the sides? As an automotive photographer it is funny to me someone would actually think photography can create a gap that isn't there. The hood on this otherwise nice 911 clearly has some(I assume) minor alignment issues; whether they can be corrected is up to the seller to divulge or do.
@homer2850 whether it's too much is clearly up to the viewer, but why are you denying the hood is not sitting flush on the drivers side when several photos specifically #3 & #10 clearly say otherwise? Frankly in the #10 photo the hood to L fender gap is obviously excessive. If readily adjustable my suggestion would be adjust it down & take further photos or stop denying it's there. Now might also be a good time to divulge any other known issues viewers cannot see.
