First launched for the 1976 model year, the 924 was Porsche’s original water-cooled transaxle sports car. This 1981 example comes finished in black over brown upholstery and features a 5-speed manual transmission paired with its 2.0-liter naturally aspirated inline-four engine. Modified as a Safari car with custom fender flares, lifted suspension, and a roof rack with fog lights, this reportedly 3-owner 924 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Canada.

This 924 is said to have been refinished in its current shade of black in 2015 and has been modified with custom fender flares, a Porsche roof rack with fog lights, and a front tow strap. It rides on gold-finished 16” wheels mounted with General Altimax Arctic tires. Factory equipment includes pop-up headlights, integrated fog lights, side direction indicators, a glass rear lid, and a rear spoiler. Additional images are provided in the gallery.

The cabin is appointed with brown upholstery contrasted with tan cloth seat inserts and a black upper dashboard. Equipment includes Porsche-embossed door panels, roll-up windows, a 3-spoke steering wheel, VDO instrumentation, an Alpine radio, a locking glovebox, and a fire extinguisher. Some signs of wear are noted.

This 924 is powered by a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated inline four-cylinder engine paired with a 5-speed manual transaxle that sends up to 110 HP to the rear wheels. The seller states that the timing belt and water pump were replaced in July 2022. Additionally, a fluid flush and tune-up are said to have been recently carried out.

This sale will include a Canadian registration.

The seller would like you to know: “A Porsche for the ones with a passion for an outdoor adventure.”

We can say the same thing to people taking 1969 Dodge Charger 1969, and transform them into General Lee! Horrific decision, but So Cooool!

@Denim Thanks for Bids & Comments so far. Any additional Questions, on this Board or simply Click Contact Seller for instant Replies.

@Denim: Fat tires & minimal trims on suspension ( spacers ) bring few extra inches of elevation. Nothing too fancy. It works fine. Done by Owner himself with assistance of MGP Motorsports Performance, a renowned shop in area were resides the Rig.
