This 1982 Porsche 911SC Coupe underwent a custom backdate restoration as a tribute to the iconic 1973 Porsche 911 RSR (R6) Targa Florio winning car, made famous by Herbert Müller and Gils van Lennep. The project was commenced in 2016 and was completed by Autodynamica Performance LLC over the course of two years at a reported cost of over $250k. The restoration included backdated fiberglass bodywork, two-stage PPG paint, a new custom interior, upgraded coilover suspension, Brembo brakes, and a rebuilt Euro-spec 3.2-liter engine. The result of over 1,000 hours of painstaking work, this uncompromising RSR tribute is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Texas with just over 100 miles driving since the restoration.
This 911SC was stripped to bare metal and fitted with wide backdated bodywork during the restoration using as many glass-fiber-reinforced-resin composite parts as possible to save weight. In keeping with the R6 tribute theme, the build incorporates 1973 period-correct “tucked” bumpers, headlights, taillights, and parking light assemblies with integral air intake grilles. The exterior is finished in water-based two-stage Silver Metallic PPG paint and decorated with vinyl graphics and a Martini Racing livery. Equipment includes a chrome driver’s side mirror, hood straps, a ducktail rear spoiler, and staggered two-piece aluminum Fuchs “raw” RSR finish wheels measuring 17” x 11” wide in the rear and 17” x 9” wide in front. The car rides on Michelin Pilot Power Sport tires from 2018 and 2019 sized 275/40 front and 225/45 rear. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The fully restored interior features racing bucket seats upholstered in hand-buffed Burnt Crimson leather along with black vinyl door cards and Crimson German Wool Carpeting. The luggage compartment is lined with matching carpeting which is custom fitted to accommodate the mounting points of the Elephant Racing strut brace. Accessories include a MOMO Prototipo 350mm steering wheel with black leather grip, brushed aluminum spokes, and white stitching, as well as Rennline perforated pedals and floorboards, and a spring-centered Windrush Evolutions WEVO precision short shifter with reverse lockout. Entertainment is provided by a Porsche Classic Communication Management (PCCM) single-DIN head unit with modern functions such as Apple CarPlay, on-board navigation, SiriusXM satellite radio, SD card, USB, AUX, and Bluetooth audio. The sound system includes a JL Audio two-channel full-range amplifier connected to a pair of door-mounted C2-525X 5.25” 2-way speakers. The seller notes all instruments have been replaced or refurbished and the car’s electrical system was also rebuilt using a Kroon wiring harness.
This 911SC was fitted with a replacement Euro-spec 3.2-liter flat-six engine which was fully rebuilt using premium racing-grade parts while being kept stock to ensure drivability. The engine is paired with an Elephant Racing fender oil cooler kit and a complete high-performance exhaust system including headers and GT3-style center outlet tips finished in high-temperature Cerakote composite epoxy polymer-ceramic coating. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 5-speed manual transmission. A Track/Street Elephant Racing Coilover Advanced Technology Package has been installed which comprises in front a strut brace, monoball camber plates, GT3 front suspension system, Turbo tie rods, a QuickChange sway bar, Von Shocks coilovers, a sway bar backer plate, tire rub prevention kit, and a thru-body front sway bar reinforcement kit. The rear suspension includes a spring plate reinforcement and shock tower kit, a retro RSR adjustable sway bar and mount kit, Von Shocks coilovers, ASP adjustable spring plates with polybronze bearings, and trailing arm monoball cartridges. The Brembo brake system features 4-piston monoblock front and 2-piece radial rear cast calipers paired with one-piece 323x28mm front and 309x28mm rear cross-drilled rotors, steel braided brake lines, and performance street brake pads.
This sale will include a clean title. The seller notes that Mexican customs duties have been paid and the car can be easily registered by an owner in Mexico.

Built as a tribute to the iconic 1973 Porsche 911 RSR (R6) Targa Florio winning car, made famous by Herbert Müller and Gils van Lennep when they took the podium after a long battle in the 45-mile Circuito Piccolo delle Madonie, the last such race as the FIA decided to cancel it after the 1973 season on the grounds of both driver and spectator safety, ensuring the R6 and its drivers would be forever remembered as the Targa Florio’s eternal winners. The base vehicle is a 1982 vintage 911, fully restored over a two-year period while adding numerous improvements to improve handling, braking, and acceleration, including further mods to provide comfort & exclusivity. The car has been kept in a climate-controlled garage and barely used since restoration was completed.”
