1982 Porsche 911 SC Outlaw "Lightweight R"

We are pleased to present for auction this 1982 Porsche 911 Lightweight R.  As with many projects of this kind, the goal was to create an affordable yet quality built outlaw that features both exhilarating performance with show stopping looks.  Mission accomplished!  The “Lightweight R” was built from the ground up by Synergy Racing out of Danville, VA with race quality parts and focus on its street performance and reliability.  This Outlaw is now being offered in excellent condition by a Porsche specialist in Florence, AL.

The Signal Orange paint is stated to be in excellent condition as can be viewed in the photo gallery.  The fiberglass RS Ducktail spoiler and an RSR inspired front bumper were installed to a very high level.  The R comes with black 16” alloy Fuchs-style wheels that are wrapped in Continental Extreme Contact tires.  Bilstein Sport Shocks add to the vehicle’s sinister stance and upgraded handling capabilities.

The interior of this outlaw features leather/Alcantara sport seats, RS lightweight door panels, aluminum accents, Rennline aluminum pedals w/ floorboard, and Schroth seat belts secured onto a Weltmeister belt bar, keeping both driver and passengers safe.  Additional details include a streamlined Rennline dash upgrade featuring radio, heat and A/C delete.  Once inside, the driver will pilot the R via a Porsche Design MOMO steering wheel chosen to give its driver ultimate control and feedback during those spirited drives.  All components of the interior are stated to be in working order.

Power comes from the original numbers matching flat-six engine that has been enhanced to a 3.2L producing approximately 255 HP and delivers power to the rear wheels via a Sachs clutch and 915 5-speed gearbox.  This high-performance build features several highly desirable modifications including:

  • Aluminum Fly Wheel
  • 986 Front Brakes
  • Power Slotted Rotors
  • Weltmeister Front & Rear Sway Bar (22mm)
  • Rear Torsion Bar (29mm)
  • Turbo Tie Rods
  • Wevo Short Shift Kit

The seller notes that an excellent bill of health was granted by Euroclassics Porsche after a PPI was performed December, 2017.  Seller states approximately 1k miles have been added since.  A recent service has been completed with new oil, filters, and plugs.

The sale will include extensive build documentation, books, a clean Carfax, and 2 keys.  Offering aggressive looks and performance to back it up, this 911 is certainly a standout from others on the road.

    @Pcardave @Pcardave There is normally a button to "contact the seller". I've tried 2x to provide my email, yet it may be blocked by the platform. You can acquire my contact info at trisslsportscars.com

    @porscheguy11 thank you!

  • porscheguy11 1 monthago

    @pcardave contact ehd911....while you're right that a CA seller is responsible for the smog cert., this appears to not be a CA seller ;) If the car is a 49 state car, it's a fair amount of work unless the seller has some other methods, contact them for any assistance.

  • Pcardave 1 monthago

    @porscheguy11 thank you for your reply!!
    I am unclear what you mean however. In Change Of Ownership ( is that what you mean by coo), seller actually is required to present certificate of smog inspection in the state of CA. Are there any legal ways around this if this car can not pass? Do I register it in AL or MT or something?

  • ehd911 (seller) 1 monthago

    @Pcardave I apologize for missing your last question. I'm not an expert on CA emissions, however many Outlaw & HotRod class 911's exist in CA and we have sold several to clients in CA as well -- please contact me directly via the PcarMarket platform to discuss.

  • porscheguy11 1 monthago

    @pcardave, don't mean to answer for ehd911, but some things just happened in CA congress that will prevent this as shown. Bill AB210 was going to try to make all cars older than 25 years old exempt. It failed Jan 31,2020 and so the current '76 and newer inspection still applies. You could register in a COO area but you still have to do the change of ownership initial smog. You could find the injection/cats/evap etc. for the initial check in a COO area and then switch it back since COO areas don't require the biennial, or reg. out of state etc.

    @ehd911 thanks! Also any way to know if it would pass California smog test ?(only way to register a car here)

  • ehd911 (seller) 1 month, 2 weeksago

    @Pcardave Correct.

  • Pcardave 1 month, 2 weeksago

    No heat, AC, or radio?

    @PCARMARKET I understand all of that. I guess it seems funny to me that all of the comments and bids of the last go around were deleted. Seems like everyone should know what price the high bid was at when it didn’t meet the reserve or the glitch happened. No point in starting at $10k when last bid was $80k or whatever the numbers were.

    @Chsnsurf This auction ended last week. It did not make reserve, hence it is in the DealTank section of the site. The seller has opted to leave it here so that interested parties can submit an offer. For full details, please visit the "How it Works" section of the site.

    @Chsnsurf I apologize for the delay. I asked Pcar Admin yesterday to jump-in here and explain how the PcarMarket listings & "the Deal Tank" works. From what I understand; once the auction is over, all listing are moved to the "Deal Tank" for 30-days, allowing parties to continue the discussion and bid. Hopefully Pcar Admin will clarify today. Best; Elton

    @ehd911 I can't seem to figure out when this "auction" ends. Any chance you could clarify that for me?

  • Chsnsurf 1 month, 4 weeksago

    So I’m new to this site. If there is a glitch at the end of time, why doesn’t the redo start at the highest bid of the previous auction? Also, in the case of this car, what was the highest bid before the glitch? This is a great looking car and is probably a blast to drive. GLWTA

    @bli888 Thanks; the Fuchs are 16 x 7 and 16 x 8 -- no rubbing that we have seen or experienced.

  • bli888 2 monthsago

    What width 16" wheels and tires are on the car? Are there any rubbing as it doesn't look like much clearance under the fenders, especially in the front at full lock and compression. Thanks.
