Now up for auction is this 1983 Porsche 911SC Coupe finished in Zinc Metallic over a Burgundy leather interior with factory Sport Seats. Built during the final model year of the 911SC, this U.S. market Coupe features front and rear spoilers, a 5-speed manual transmission, and custom-painted racing stripes. Previously listed on PCARMARKET, this 911SC has since been serviced and equipped with new heat exchangers and is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York with just over 50k miles showing on the odometer.
This 911SC is presented in its factory original color of Zinc Metallic with custom painted stripes that were reportedly applied by the selling dealer when new. Some cosmetic imperfections and signs of road-going wear are depicted in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. Exterior features include genuine front and rear Turbo-look spoilers, front fog lights, headlights washers, black stone guards, a sunroof, and 16” Fuchs wheels that have been redone in a custom black and nickel-plated finish. It currently rides on a set of Ohtsu tires with date codes from 2013 and 2014.
Inside, this 911SC showcases a beautiful Burgundy leather interior with highly sought-after factory Sport Seats. Aftermarket speakers have been installed along with an Alpine radio, and the cabin exhibits some wear on the driver’s seat bolster and sagging on the sun visor upholstery. The A/C compressor has been removed, however, the lines and controls have been retained.
This 911SC generates approximately 180 HP from an air-cooled 3.0 L flat-six engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission that drives the rear wheels. The brake calipers have been recently rebuilt along with the installation of new brake hoses, pads, and rotors. The undercarriage was also freshly detailed, and the car has received an oil change as well as a new set of Dansk heat exchangers. This SC is said to have been driven very sparingly by the current owner over the last four years with routine maintenance kept up to date.
