When was the last time that the suspension was refreshed?
Is the spare tire the original rubber?
Since there is only 1 picture (#80) of the wheel well, can you comment on any rust in the underbody or elsewhere in the vehicle?
The same (grainy) picture #80 shows what appears to be a crack in the wheel well. Please take a better picture showing a better close up of this area and/or explain.

Beautiful car! I love it ! Most of the transaxles have fallen in the hands of people who could only afford a 944 or 924S but lack the funds to properly maintain them. They have ended up in driveways, backyards and junkyards left to rot. They are very reliable and fun cars and handle great with lots of cargo room. Not all Porsche mechanics are passionate and skilled when it comes to transaxle Porsches. Find one who has a passion, truly knows the ins and outs of these cars electronically and mechanically and you will be just fine. Drive them often, and never let them sit too long. The more you drive them the more reliable they are.

  • JBoxerGT2 (registered bidder) 4 years, 3 monthsago

@Silver930 I've seen those. Someone makes a closed cell foam type that can take high temperatures and i think i saw them on ebay long time ago. It's not so much the low mileage and that it should still look like new but the age of it is what makes them crumble. You and I know that. But I agree, with that low of mileage I would scrape that old insulation off and instal a brand-new set so it matches the entire like new condition of the vehicle.

  • Silver930 (registered bidder) 4 years, 3 monthsago

@JBoxerGT2 That certainly is an option.

  • JBoxerGT2 (registered bidder) 4 years, 3 monthsago

@Silver930 What would you fix that cheap factory hood insulation with? These cars shouldn't sit for a long time . Not good for seals or electronics. The hood insulation is useless. Scrape it off and leave it at that.

  • Murphy911 (seller) 4 years, 3 monthsago

@Silver930 I don't have time to detail that is why I am selling it. I also looked for the insulation everywhere but can only find one side. Please anybody direct me to find both sides of insulation and I will do it tomorrow.

    Fix that hood insulation.
Put on some 15 or 16 Fuchs
clean up engine bay a bit.
And you have a very nice classic Early 944

  • maybeillbuyit (registered bidder) 4 years, 3 monthsago

Very nice car, love those seats. Timing belt last changed 2013? I wasn't aware of a Full Thick-Pile Carpeting being an option? Its not listed on the option code sticker. Neither are those fantastic seats, which must be a fairly rare cloth. Very tempting

WOW! Brings back some great memories. My very first Porsche was this same exact spec. Vividly remember the center console with Cassette holder. Wish I had the room for this beautiful example. Good luck seller!

@LongRunner @LongRunner, Thank you. The update is being addressed.

  • LongRunner 4 years, 3 monthsago

Beautiful Example, just want to correct you on your wheel comment, those are Cookie Cutter Wheels, not Fuch Wheels. Hope this one goes to a great enthusiast who will maintain it to a high degree!Best of luck to the seller ad the future Buyer!
