The fourth-generation Chevrolet Corvette (C4) was introduced for the 1984 model year featuring an entirely new design with a “uniframe” chassis, electronic dashboard, and improved suspension. This 1984 example is finished in Bright Red over a Carmine leather interior and marks the only year in which the C4 was available with a Cross-Fire Injection V8. Sparingly driven with just under 15k miles on the odometer, this very nicely preserved launch-year Corvette is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Oklahoma.

The C4 features lightweight fiberglass bodywork with molded plastic bumpers and was the first Corvette to include a glass rear hatch window as well as a removable Targa roof in favor of traditional T-tops. This Coupe is finished in Bright Red with a black Targa top and factory 16” alloy wheels. The seller describes the paint to be in very good condition overall, showing minimal touch-ups while preserved under ceramic coating. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin is trimmed in Carmine red leather with matching carpets and a contrasting black dashboard. The center console features an embossed Corvette emblem, and the dashboard is protected by a black carpet mat. Accessories include air conditioning, power windows, cruise control, a digital instrument display, and a stereo system. All gauges and accessories are said to be fully functional.

The 5.7-liter L83 V8 engine is equipped with Cross-Fire fuel injection and produces up to 205 HP and 290 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 4-speed automatic transmission. The CARFAX report shows service completed in 2021, a safety/emission inspection passed in 2022, and professional detailing completed in 2023.

This sale will include a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: "Here we have a super clean 1984 Corvette in the iconic Red/Red color combo with 14k original miles that needs nothing, which is because this car has not been mothballed, but rather steadily driven its 14k miles over time. When was the last time you have seen a 1984 C4 Corvette in as nice condition, while still being a super affordable introductory collector car?”

Ok guys. We have a day to go, and do let me know if anyone has any questions or needs any additional information.

I am also very happy to help with the transport logistics via my broker I use, which is something that a lot of people just don’t know where to begin, or they get caught by silly charges.

@nobrakes You got that right, I remember when these came out as a teenager, and it was like Holy Crap it is Night Rider Tech. Lol

It won’t be too long before these will be sought after, and there are definitely not many of these in this shape due to the build materials not holding up well outdoors, so some of the Corvette or other car collectors really should start looking at these for a positive gain.

Sadly examples like this are still selling below common UTV or basic lawn care equipment pricing, which means a nice example like this on the impulse buy will pay dividends in the end.

    Crickets on the '84 vette???

This is an important car and a collectible example at that; a bookend C4, first year of the gen 4 model after the '83 model year was cancelled. Short lived "digital" instrument cluster was once laughed at now is a period icon that completed the sea change departure from the earlier generations. Very cool. Great seller too... bid with confidence. GLWTS

Please do let me know if anyone has any specific questions or information needed with this Corvette, but I will say this is a super nice survivor example that needs nothing to be enjoyed, and it is a must have for any serious Corvette collector who is missing this piece of their collection being it is a bookend example.
