We are pleased to present this rare 1984 Porsche 911 Carrera M491 Coupe finished in Black over a black and Champagne leather interior. Produced in February of 1984 as one of only 346 examples for the U.S. market, this sought-after M491 Carrera features the wide fenders, spoiler, brakes, and suspension of the 911 Turbo. It has also been modified with 3-piece Autoart wheels, a limited-slip differential, and a carbon fiber front hood. The engine, transmission, and differential have been resealed and the brakes have been recently replaced along with the oil return pipes. Accompanied by original accessories, parts, service records, the factory Fuchs wheels, and the original front hood, this Carrera is now being offered for auction by its owner out of Quebec, Canada while showing approximately 58k miles on the odometer.
This Carrera is finished in Black and features wide Turbo-style fenders along with a distinctive Tea Tray rear spoiler as part of the M491 package. A lightweight exposed carbon fiber hood has been installed and a unique front valence is equipped which the seller believes to have been dealer-installed when the car was new. The original black hood is also included in the sale with the original option code label remaining in place. Additional images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. Aftermarket 18” Autoart 3-piece wheels have been installed and mounted with Hankook tires which are recommended for replacement. The original set of Fuchs wheels will also accompany the sale and are finished with gloss-black painted centers and polished outer lips.
Inside, you will find a black and Champagne leather interior featuring an original Blaupunkt radio with a period gooseneck-style equalizer. An aftermarket three-spoke MOMO steering wheel has been installed and additional factory equipment includes air-conditioning, a sunroof, and cruise control. All gauges and accessories are said to be working properly aside from the original R12 A/C system which is currently disconnected. The seller also notes that the spedometer has been oporating intermittently within the past week.
This Carrera carries an air-cooled 3.2 L flat-six engine that sends as much as 207 HP stock to the rear wheels through a 5-speed 915 manual gearbox with a limited-slip differential. The M491 package also adds the upgraded brakes and suspension setup of the 911 Turbo for improved handling and stopping power. Official correspondence from Porsche is included in the photo gallery listing the original engine and gearbox numbers. The seller reports the car to have been meticulously maintained throughout the years with a number of major items addressed including a complete reseal of the engine, transmission, and differential, a new shifter, and the recent replacements of the brake pads, rotors, and brake fluid. The oil return pipes are also scheduled for replacement prior to sale. An extensive collection of records and documentation is said to accompany the sale along with assorted spare parts and the original catalytic converter.

I just checked the Carfax. Porsche Prestige: Odometer reported as 57,981 kilometers
This caused a mileage inconsistency so they probably have to fix their mistake

@Jahan hi there , the odometer stopped a while back maybe 50 miles before I took the car to the dealership to have it fixed .
They mentioned at the dealer ship they do not have an in-house way to have it fixed.

the condition of the interior and exterior reflect transparency connected to milage , hardly this car is driven except on a Sunday after noon. the interior is in excellent condition and the paint is original . so really taking the car to a dealer reflect transparency also

to answer a question , page 55 or 106 the colour is a slight rust on the jack and not on the chassis
if you ask if the radio is working , no , but the Antenna is new. will show you a video for the Antenna.
I never use the radio. I get so much pleasure looking at the original blaupunkt and the equalizer just standing there.
I assure you it handles better than a turbo and I have had many. this is the most beautiful body on a Porsche and I am sure you agree the ruff front lip makes it really a wonderful shape
and a great body.

I guess being out of country makes me a bit apprehensive of hidden charges. Anyone know how hard or expensive it is to import a p car from another country? Sure wish car had updated a/c. Does Canada require smog tests like Commi fornia?

hi, my name is Aiman I am the owner of the car. I took the car to Porsche dealership on June 1st as car fax shows the odometer had issues which came up lately and I am planning to take care of this issue asap.
EK performance is the only in house garage that will replace the oil return hoses and fix the odometer. Please see the condition of the car it is driven only on a Sunday afternoon.
The car is running very well and as Porsche dealer ship knows the clutch is new and transmission resealed and I have it written.
I was told to exchange the return oil hoses but nothing urgent. so the work is being done.
every thing else works very well. The car runs so well and accelerates really well at any gear.
The front spoiler . I do not know when and where it was installed but previous owners as I tried to get in touch with them seem that it was installed by a dealer ship. pictures show the quality of the front spoiler and it is hard not to believe that it was an original request when the car was bought.
The paint is original, no scratches and looks very well. The original Fuchs look brand new
and the original hood is in an exceptional condition. both the carbon fibre hood and the original hood along with the Fuchs come with the car. The car looks alien with both the front spoiler and the carbon fibre hood and endless comments on how beautiful it looks.
the air-conditioning is original R12 . I never use but I will have the belt and the Freon done along.
so as we speak the car is being taking care of and the minor repairs are under way.
