Up for auction is this fully restored 1985 Land Rover Defender 90. This European-spec 1985 example was brought to Unique Masterpieces in Portugal to undergo an extensive restoration process over the course of several months. During this time, all mechanical systems were completely refreshed and the car was refurbished to like-new overall condition with a custom dark brown leather interior. This Defender has been imported to the U.S. where it is now being offered by its seller in Florida with approximately 45k kilometers showing on the odometer, of which less than 3k are reported to have been driven since the restoration.
During the restoration, this Defender was completely disassembled and refinished in a classic nonmetallic beige color. A new brown canvas top was also installed, and the factory steel wheels were painted to match the exterior. All trim pieces and moldings were replaced, and all necessary equipment and lighting were fitted to comply with U.S. road safety standards. Other noteworthy features include a full-size rear-mounted spare, plastic rollup windows, a rear step, and a tow hitch.
The cabin has been completely restored and upholstered in luxurious dark brown leather with hand-sewn square pattern details and tan leatherbound carpeting, Opposing rear bench seats are configured and all components are said to be functioning properly.
This Defender is equipped with an original 2.5 L inline 4-cylinder diesel engine which was completely overhauled as part of the restoration. The manual gearbox, suspension, steering, and braking systems were also refreshed to bring the car up to as-new mechanical standards. The car is said to have been kept mechanically stock in an effort to preserve the original driving experience. With approximately 3k kilometers (1864 miles) driven since the restoration, this Defender is ready to begin its journey with a new owner.

Yes, the car was in a multi-point inspection for the chassis, drive train, exterior, under the hood and under vehicle checkup. Here are the findings:
The front right axle seal appears to be leaking- fixed.
Rear differential fluid is milky- fixed.
Left rear wheel cylinder leaking- fixed.
