    @garagekept it does
    Much appreciated
    Beautiful car

  • garagekept (seller) 4 yearsago

    @deeskate you are not wrong. The original owner in Chicago drove the car until 2004 with 68k miles on it when a timing belt broke. The car then sat in storage until being purchased by a Michigan resident in 2018 and changed hands again to be completely gone through and in the condition it is shown today. 477 miles recorded since 2004. Three owner car. Hope that clears up any confusion.

    @eloutfi appreciate the advice. Those questions have already been asked and the original wheels were not part of the sale, hence not part of the sale here. Head unit included. Those can be found and replaced by the new owner as he or she desires . What we do have is the original window sticker and the original owner warranty card - there's no replacing that!

  • eloutfi (registered bidder) 4 yearsago

    @garagekept I have an 84S 4 speed with the exact same color combo. About the wheel what I recommend is calling the person who sold it and see if they might have them. When I bought my 84, the dealer did with mine and know I have the original wheels on my car. Sometimes the previous owners leave them in their garage and same for the headunit. The seller might have just removed it and left in his garage. Nice that it has it's original paint. Nice video.

  • garagekept (seller) 4 yearsago

    @eloutfi according to the readings, the car has its original paint.

  • garagekept (seller) 4 yearsago

    @eloutfi Paint meter readings should be posted soon. If you like the original wheels, you're in luck because they are way cheaper than the Turbo twists! Regarding the engine service, please reference the service records and photos in the listing.

  • garagekept (seller) 4 yearsago

    @Periokid I just did some readings and asked PCAR to post them to the listing. We do not have the original wheels; however, you could take off the Turbo twists, sell them and buy two sets of original wheels.

  • eloutfi (registered bidder) 4 yearsago

    @Periokid I don't see any paint meter readings either. I personally prefer the manhole wheels. What about the engine service?

  • Periokid (registered bidder) 4 yearsago

    I don't see the paint meter readings. Are the original wheels available?

    Has it been resprayed or is that the original paint and do you have the manhole wheels.

    @PorscheLover179 from the mechanic:
    Engine work: A compression test was first performed to confirm that cylinder 1 and 2 had no compression. Removed the engine, as this will make other gasket replacement easier. Removed cylinder heads, found 2 bent exhaust valves and 2 bent intake valves. No damaged to cylinder wall or pistons, valves where slightly bent. Bank 2 had no valve problems or loss of compression. The valves don’t crash into the piston, they come into contact with the piston and bend enough so the valve does not fully seat into the head, causing the loss of compression. While the engine was out, all gaskets where replace to seal the motor to prevent oil leaks that every 928 has. The short block, crank, rods and pistons where left alone. No need for replacement with the low millage which was apparent in the cross hatching on the nikasil cylinder walls. Picture of the lower part of the engine (asked PCAR to add to the listing) showing no carbon/oil build up and see how clean the inside of the motor is, representing the lower millage.

    @Ddeph67 will get you one tomorrow and post the link here.

  • garagekept (seller) 4 yearsago

    @PorscheLover179 gathering some answers for you from the mechanic. Stay tuned.

  • Ddeph67 (registered bidder) 4 yearsago

    Any chance of a cold start video?

  • PorscheLover179 4 yearsago

    Can you provide additional information about the scope of the engine work performed? The description cites a full engine rebuild, but the receipt describes only valve and cylinder head work. Do you have any evidence that there was no piston damage to the cylinders where the valves crashed into the pistons when the timing belt broke?

  • PorscheLover179 4 yearsago

    @PorscheLover179 Oops, please disregard, I see in the discription the location is given!

  • PorscheLover179 4 yearsago

    Beautiful 928. Where is it located?

  • garagekept (seller) 4 yearsago

    @Quincydubois no, we do not have it. The car was acquired with the current head unit.

  • Quincydubois (registered bidder) 4 yearsago

    Original ‘head unit’ available?
