Based on BMW’s E23 7-Series produced from 1977 until 1986, the BMW L7 represented the peak of BMW’s flagship luxury sedan in the U.S. market. It received additional standard amenities like leather-upholstered door pillars, an electric glass sunroof, heated and powered seats, and more. This 1986 example wears Polaris Metallic paint over Silver Gray leather and is now being offered for auction out of Nevada showing just over 94k miles on the odometer.
This L7 is finished in Polaris Metallic paint with chrome-trimmed front grills, windows, door handles, and dual-tipped exhaust. It retains standard 14" TRX wheels wearing Michelin radial tires, and a spare is included. The seller describes a minor scratch on the roof which can be viewed in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The interior of this L7 is draped in Silver Gray leather upholstery, extending from the seats to the door panels, dashboard, and pillars. Additional appointments include a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a hand-stitched armrest, power and heated seats with memory function, and power-adjustable and heated exterior mirrors. In the rear, this car also features a rear-window sunshade, a fold-down center armrest, and passenger map lights in the C-pillars. The seller claims that a radar detector was installed at the dealer early in the car’s life and that the SRS warning light is on.
This L7 is equipped with a fuel-injected 3.5-liter inline-six engine that produces up to 182 HP and 214 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven via a 4-speed automatic transmission and an optional limited-slip differential. Selectable drive modes near the gearshift allow the driver to select from Sport, Economy, or Manual shifting modes. Braking is handled by 4-wheel disc brakes with ABS.
The sale will include the factory toolkit, owner's manuals, some maintenance records, and a clean title.

@andylyco to clarify, he is unable to bring the car back to CA to be smogged or registered before the sale. But it has passed CA smog without issue ever since he owned it.
@charliek911 just got this text from the seller: "Sure. You can tell him that the car was bought. in California. And smogged every two or three years. And we moved to Las Vegas only five months ago."

I live in CA...the registration has expired. It needs to be renewed and smogged for me to buy in CA. Will this be done. I do not care about the NV registration, just the CA requirements.
@charliek911 it's titled and registered in California, but the seller and the car have both relocated to Nevada. He isn't planning to register the car in NV after the sale, but because of the age, it could be registered in NV with classic rod or classic car plates without a smog test.
Will the registration be renewed with smog certification prior to delivery?
