Available for auction is this 1986 Citroën 2CV6 Special finished in White over a dark grey interior. With one of the longest production runs in automotive history, the Citroen 2CV or Deux Chevaux was introduced in 1948 at the Paris Mondial de l'Automobile. It was conceived as a low-cost option that would help motorize France’s rural population and became well known for its low service costs, fuel-efficient air-cooled engine, and utilitarian bodywork. This 1986 example was imported from Italy where it was restored by a Citroen enthusiast and is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida.
This 2CV6 comes finished in White with chrome mirrors, fold-up windows, body-color bumpers, and a matching retractable soft top. The 2CV features a dual H-frame chassis with aircraft-style tube framework overlaid by easily detachable steel body panels. The seller describes the finish to be in very good condition overall with only minor cosmetic imperfections, additional photos can be found in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. This 2CV6 rides on a set of white-painted 15” steel wheels dressed in proper 2CVMMC radial tires which were mounted in 2018.
The cabin is trimmed in dark grey vinyl upholstery and features a dashboard air vent, windshield wipers, bench seats, safety belts, and a French-made analog Jaeger instrument dial housing a speedometer, odometer, and fuel meter as well as a depiction of the shift pattern. The seller confirms all gauges, lights, and accessories remain fully functional.
Power comes from an air-cooled 602cc flat-twin engine which produced as much as 29 HP when new. The front wheels are driven by way of a 4-speed manual transaxle. The 2CV features a unique swing arm, fore-aft linked suspension system with inboard front brakes. This suspension design allowed the 2CV to be driven through fields and rough terrain as it was intended for use in the rural French countryside. The seller reports that the vehicle is in good running order, and images of the undercarriage are provided in the gallery.
This sale will include a clean title. One of the most distinct and historically significant French automobiles ever produced, this 2CV6 Special would make a charming addition to any enthusiast’s collection.

@Gstigler - There is minor surface rust but it is not through the metal, frame or pan. If you need additional photos, please let me know.
In picture 113 and 112 is that rust through on the pan/frame in that area? Great example overall, I simply want to confirm the extent of what is there. Thanks and again, beautiful car.
I apologize, I missed that the car is in Jacksonville.
Does it have a heater?
Where in Florida would it be delivered?
