    @Davis_944 I didn’t race it in NASA you would need to do the research.

    What NASA class does it fit into?

    @BKHicks 1.39 or 1.40's at Mid Ohio in this car is not shabby by any means.

  • BKHicks 1 year, 10 monthsago

    Previous owner here. Car ran consistently 1.39-1.40's at Mid-Ohio club course and 1.35-1.36's on Mid-Ohio pro course. As current owner said, the car could definitely hang with the best of them in the corners. Wish I had room...I'd but it back.

    GLWS.

  • Bandit66 (seller) 1 year, 10 monthsago

    @davnik6 Thank you for the nice complement.

    I do have these lap times but unfortunately I am not at my shop and I don't have the computer with the lap times or the AIM Dash Logger, I wish I did. I am on the road and won't be home until the auction is over. Please remember that I purchased the car as a track car and not to race. I can tell you that at every track you mentioned that I could not pass a Porsche GT3 on the straights but I could catch them in the corners and pass them. The prior owner had the car on the dyno and it was 265 rear wheel horse power . With the square set up and the aero it was not a problem...but remember it's not only the car its the driver. This car is sorted and fast, it can always be upgraded to be what you want. A lot of work has been done to this car since I purchased it and there is always room for to make it yours.

    Please let me know if you need any additional information.

  • davnik6 (registered bidder) 1 year, 10 monthsago

    Looks like a great car. I see you are in New England, do you have lap times from Lime Rock or Thompson, New Hampshire? Any race tracks?
    Unfortunately, in vintage racing, a 944 turbo runs against IMSA Camaro's & Corvettes, 934's, BMW CSL's, etc.. You have driven it - can it compete?

  • Bandit66 (seller) 1 year, 11 monthsago

    @pm2207 With the listing I uploaded over 100 pictures and the trans cooler pictures were included. I will see if they can add the photo.

    I do not understand you second question but I don't have the rotor or hat sizes with me at this time.

    No fiberglass parts.

    The hood vents are painted, the riveted red parts are powder coated all of the other colors are paint.

  • pm2207 (registered bidder) 1 year, 11 monthsago

    @Bandit66 Thanks for the information.

    Can you upload a picture of the transaxle cooler setup?

    What size are the outer rings for the 2 piece front rotors?

    Any fiberglass panels(bumper,fender, etc)?

    Is the center red stripe and various red riveted light panels painted or vinyl? Can you clarify what is painted and what is vinyl?

  • Bandit66 (seller) 1 year, 11 monthsago

    @pm2207 Those are all great questions!

    It does have a cooler on the transaxle.

    I have a back brace for the seat but it is not on it, but it will go with the car.

    The engine does not have an Accusump.

    The fender and door have a slight depression. Please remember this is a race car, the body is not perfect. This was raced in not only SCCA with the owner before the person I purchased it from and he ran it in NASA.

  • pm2207 (registered bidder) 1 year, 11 monthsago

    @Bandit66 Awesome. Thanks!

    Is there a cooler setup on the transaxle?

    Is there a back brace on the expired driver seat?

    Is there an accusump setup on the engine?

    Is it a shadow or body damage on the passenger front fender and door? Any other krunckles or bondo in the body?

  • Bandit66 (seller) 1 year, 11 monthsago

    @pm2207 It is the 3-5 gear set and I don't know the ratios.

    The shocks (front and rear) were sent out to be rebuilt in 2017.

    The control arms are boxed steel.

    I will send a note to Pcar to have them post a picture of the control arm with the other photos.

  • pm2207 (registered bidder) 1 year, 11 monthsago

    @Bandit66 Thanks

    Is it a 3-5th Albins gear set? Any paperwork on the gears he picked?

    I assume the suspension(coilovers,bearings, etc) was all changed before you purchased the car?

    Do you have any pictures of your front control arms? Description says late S2 steel arms. I think S2 had aluminum arms. Maybe you mean early boxed steel arms.

    Any known problems with the car?

  • Bandit66 (seller) 1 year, 11 monthsago

    @pm2207 When I purchased the car I purchased it with a bill of sale from the previous owner.

    The engine has about 50 hours on it since Lindsey built it. I don't know when the trans axle was last rebuilt, but we have changed the fluid every year before the season started. The clutch and flywheel were replaced in March of 2017. I did two track day that year and one track day in 2018. The car has not been on the track since. Of course COVID was responsible for not using the car for 2 seasons.

    I have not raced the car but the previous owner raced it in 2015 in NASA. The car has a NASA log book from the prior owner.

    I purchased the car to use for track days and not to race.

  • pm2207 1 year, 11 monthsago

    Bid in the amount of $944

  • pm2207 (registered bidder) 1 year, 11 monthsago

    No title?

    How many hours on the engine, transaxle, clutch, suspension? When was it last raced?

    What log books does it come with?

    Thanks

  • Bandit66 (seller) 1 year, 11 monthsago

    @tomneedles Tom,

    The car is NOT street legal. The leg room has not been cut down that I can tell. I also have a 944 and the leg room feels the same.

    Thank you.

  • tomneedles (registered bidder) 1 year, 11 monthsago

    Understood.
    Is it safe to assume this is not street legal?
    Also, I have a 944 and one of the things I like most about it is the ample leg room it offers (I'm on the taller side). Does your car offer that same kind of "stock" leg room, or have the modifications cut down on leg room in some way?
    Thanks, Jay.
    Tom

    I want to welcome you to my listing and auction. Please let me know if you have any questions and I will try to answer them as soon a s possible.

  • Bandit66 (seller) 1 year, 11 monthsago

    @tomneedles Hi Tom,

    I am currently out of town and I don't have any videos on my computer. I won't be back home for a week and that will be after the auction ends so sorry about that but please let me know if you need any additional information.

    Thank you.

    Jay

    Great looking 944. Any chance you might post a driving video? Thanks!
