The Porsche 911 Carrera was updated in the 1987 model year with a more powerful 3.2-liter flat-six engine and a new 5-speed G50 manual transaxle. This 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe is finished in Guards Red over a black leather interior and features an optional limited-slip differential, Sports Shocks, air conditioning, front and rear spoilers, 16” Fuchs forged alloy wheels, cruise control, an electric sunroof, and a Pioneer stereo. Acquired by the seller about six months ago and treated to extensive maintenance including oil leak repairs, valve adjustments, A/C service, overhauled brakes, and new suspension components, this 911 is now being offered for auction out of New Jersey with approximately 45k miles showing on the odometer.
This 911 is finished in traditional Guards Red and equipped with integrated front fog lights, a front chin spoiler, a rear spoiler, an electric sunroof, and 16” Fuchs forged alloy wheels with black-painted centers and polished outer lips. The car rides on new 205/55 Pirelli tires. Under the seller’s care, it received new headlight and taillight assemblies, fender guards, window seals, dent removal, and several paint chip touch-ups. The seller adds that some minor corrective paintwork was performed under prior ownership. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The black leather interior includes a 4-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a four-spoke leather steering wheel, air conditioning, cruise control, and an aftermarket Pioneer stereo. The original Blaupunkt radio is included in the sale. Recent refurbishment includes new door panels, electrical repairs, a new A/C compressor, switches, and knobs. All gauges and accessories are said to be fully functional.
The air-cooled 3.2-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 217 HP to the rear wheels through a 5-speed G50 manual transaxle and an optional limited-slip differential. Service performed by the seller included the replacement of various exhaust components, gaskets, bolts, and brackets, as well as addressing oil leaks with new seals and gaskets. Valve adjustments were performed, leaking valve covers were replaced, and the air intake and oil take-off hoses were renewed due to wear and leakage. The front and rear shock absorbers were replaced, new suspension bushings were installed, and a wheel alignment was performed. The braking system was comprehensively overhauled with new calipers, hoses, pads, and a system flush using DOT4 fluid. Routine maintenance was also carried out, including lubrication services, oil and filter changes, and transmission fluid replacement with a gearbox inspection.
This sale will include a window sticker, owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a car cover, a battery charger, the original Blaupunkt radio, radio manuals, a leather nose bra, and a clean title.

@Carrerafan Good Morning! While in our care and ownership, no paintwork was done. However, throughout its history, there has been some mild paintwork over the years. Majority of the paint is original.
@gaswerksgarage hi what paintwork was done? How much of the paint is original?

The 3.2 engine came out in the 1984 911
The 87 was the first year for the upgraded G50 transmission
Why is the front lid, especially at the right front, slightly above the right fender? Gorgeous car.
@Glickster Apologies for the typographical error, you are indeed correct there is no power steering on our 1987 911. Happy Bidding!

@Belizeit Good Afternoon! The winning bidder would be responsible for arraigning shipping, however we are happy to point you in the right direction. Approx shipping to Lexington from NJ would be no more than $2,500 for enclosed transport.
Do you work with a shipping company? If so, what is shipping to Lexington, Kentucky, 40515?
