Offered for auction is a 1988 Porsche 928 S4 finished in Venetian Blue Metallic over a Marine Blue leather interior.  One of the most significant evolutions for Porsche's iconic V8-powered grand tourer, the 928 S4 debuted a new aerodynamically improved body along with a larger 5.0L engine with four valves per cylinder.  This 1988 example was first registered in Wisconsin where it remained up until 2014 before making its way to the West Coast.  Having undergone considerable recent refurbishment including a full glass-out repaint, timing belt and water pump replacements, A/C overhaul, and new interior upholstery, this 928 S4 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California showing approximately 54k miles on the odometer.

This 928 comes finished in Venetian Blue Metallic (L36P) and can be identified as an S4 model by its rounded aerodynamic nose, larger taillights, sill moldings, and rear spoiler.  This example was recently subjected to a complete glass-out repaint in its original color during which time the rear spoiler was painted to match. The factory 16” flat dish forged wheels have also been recently polished and fitted with new tires and lug nuts.  Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The Marine Blue leather interior has been refreshed with all new carpeting and upholstery along with reconditioning of the dashboard.  The sunroof assembly was recently serviced and adjusted along with replacements of the rear hatch actuator motor, left window motor, A/C lines, and a rebuild of the A/C compressor. Equipment includes climate control, full power accessories, a rear window wiper, digital clock readout, driver position memory, and a sound system with an original Blaupunkt Reno SQR 45 radio.

The 5.0L V8 DOHC engine generates as much as 320 HP and 317 lb.-ft of torque and drives the rear wheels by way of a 4-speed automatic transaxle.  Recent service includes a new timing belt and water pump, accessory belts, spark plugs, a steering rack rebuild, four-wheel alignment, oil and filter change, a new air cleaner, and airbox straps.
