Up for auction is this 1988 Porsche 944 Turbo finished in Alpine White over Light Grey partial leather interior. Equipped with a turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox, the 944 Turbo was the quintessential transaxle Porsche of the 1980s.  This 1988 example is said to have been garage-kept under the care of three prior owners and has recently received a new timing belt and steering rack.  It is now being offered for auction by its owner out of Florida with approximately 159k miles showing on the odometer.

The 944 is finished in Alpine White with optional body-colored side moldings and is distinguished as a Turbo model by its aerodynamically revised nose with integrated fog lights and body-colored diffuser located beneath the rear bumper.  The CARFAX report shows minor rear-end damage to have occurred in 2014 and the seller notes paint cracking on the rear bumper as well as degradation of the clear coat on the hood and driver-side front fender.  This 944 rides on a set of 18” 996 Turbo-look wheels dressed in Nitto tires.  Additional images are provided in the gallery along with the full CARFAX report.

Inside, this 944 features a Light Grey partial leather interior with a contrasting black dashboard and upper door panels.  Factory equipment includes a central locking system, air conditioning, sunroof, rear window wiper, and power-adjustable seats.  The cabin is described to have been well-kept throughout the years and the seller reports all gauges and accessories to be fully functional apart from the aftermarket Blaupunkt radio.

This 951 is equipped with a turbocharged 2.5L inline 4-cylinder engine that sends up to 220 HP and 243 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transaxle. An upgraded air intake and front strut brace have been equipped and recent service is said to include the replacement of the timing belt and steering rack. Some additional service history is provided on the CARFAX report.

This sale will include a clean title. This driver-grade 944 Turbo is just waiting to be enjoyed by a new owner, do not miss your chance to get behind the wheel.

@msobilo I have added the service record to the images. This Porsche was serviced for Timing, Balance Belt, Tension Rollers, Idler Rollers, Auxiliary Shaft Roller, Distributor Cap, Ignition Roller, and A/C in that specific record.

There is a service record from 1999 of a "Cup Car Clutch" purchase of $599.
In 2017 the cutch master slave and and brake master slave was replaced as well but no indication of another clutch change. At the moment, this porsche drives really well and has no slipping from the clutch.

Turbo has not been rebuilt to my knowledge or records indicate that.

When the timing belt was done, were balance shaft belts done too? What about water pump? I did not see so I figured I would ask. Any idea about the clutch? Is it the original? Or when was it replaced? Has the turbo been rebuilt?
