We are pleased to present this exceptional 1989 Lancia Delta WRC Tribute. Built by its previous owners in Italy and Belgium before being imported to the U.S. in 2019, this Lancia pays homage to the iconic 8V Group A Martini Racing Team WRC car that won the Argentina Rally in 1988. This build showcases many period-correct performance parts as well as a turbocharged 2.0 L 4-cylinder engine that sends power to all 4 wheels through a 5-speed manual gearbox. Fully equipped for rally racing and vintage car shows, this fully restored WRC tribute is now being offered by its seller in Florida accompanied by a clean title, restoration documents and racing equipment.
In Europe, this Delta was completely disassembled before being taken down to bare metal and refinished in its signature Rosso Monza paint. Custom Martini Racing vinyl graphics were then applied in the style of the 1988 Argentina Rally winning WRC car. Some noteworthy features include a rear spoiler, Sparco mud flaps, a front tow strap and replica Bianco Montecarlo wheels in aluminum which measure 17”x8”. A spare Speedline Corse wheel is also included in the trunk.
The interior has been stripped out and converted into a lightweight rally cockpit. Performance oriented modifications were installed including Sparco racing seats, Sabelt harnesses, radio and timing equipment, an RRS steering wheel, rear seat delete and a rear strut tower brace. An emergency cutoff switch was also added, although it is currently not connected. The seller confirms all other gauges and accessories to be in good working order.
This Lancia is powered by a Garrett turbocharged 2.0 L inline 4-cylinder engine rated at approximately 280 HP. This engine features Weber IAW integrated ignition with one coil per-cylinder and electronic fuel injection. A 5-speed manual gearbox distributes power to all 4 wheels through a dynamic all-wheel drive system which offers variable load transfer for different courses and surface conditions. This car comes with 2 ECU’s, one configured for “Stradale” , and the other for racing applications. Castrol racing oil and brake fluids have been used exclusively and the car has been serviced regularly with routine drives to keep mechanical systems in good running order.
This sale will include a spare hood, spare tailgate, spare door panels, tail lamps, Trip Master brake pads, racing jack stands, gasket sets, 2 Steering wheels, a 1000W jump starter , 2 historic helmets, an intercom antenna, radio, rally lamp, 2 digital chronometers, a pair of Sparco racing gloves, a historic martini racing suit, 1 rally helmet bag, 1 Sparco rally bag, 1 spare wheel and a vintage Magneti Marelli master computer to diagnose the car’s miscellaneous systems.
