This 1989 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe is finished in rare Linen Grey Metallic paint over a matching Linen Grey partial leather interior. Originally sold from Forest Lane Porsche of Dallas, Texas, it comes factory-equipped with a 5-speed G50 manual transmission, optional front and rear spoilers, a power-operated sunroof, air conditioning, cruise control, a rear window wiper, and a Hi-Fi sound system with an amplifier. The car was purchased by its current owner in 2023 and has been recently serviced with new tires brakes, braided stainless-steel brake lines, Turbo tie rods, and a four-wheel alignment. Accompanied by its original window sticker, this final-year Carrera 3.2 is now being offered for auction out of Florida with just over 96k miles showing on the odometer.
This 911 is finished in Linen Grey (L550) and equipped with optional front and rear spoilers, integrated fog lights, a power-operated sunroof, heated and power-adjustable side mirrors, a rear window wiper, and aftermarket 16” Maxilite Fuchs-style wheels. New Bridgestone Potenza Sport tires have been installed and the car’s exterior is described to be in excellent cosmetic condition. The cabin is appointed with Linen Grey partial leather upholstery and matching carpets. Accessories include power-adjustable front seats, a four-spoke leather steering wheel with an optional elevated hub, a linen leather shifter, air conditioning, cruise control, and an optional amplified Hi-Fi sound system. A modern Porsche Classic (PCCM) radio has been installed along with aftermarket aluminum door handles and pedal covers. Some signs of wear are noted on the driver’s seat and the seller reports the A/C does not blow cold.
Producing up to 217 HP and 195 lb.-ft of torque, the air-cooled 3.2-liter flat-six engine drives the rear wheels through a 5-speed G50 manual transaxle. Service performed under current ownership includes new front strut inserts, all new brake pads and rotors, upgraded stainless-steel brake lines, a brake fluid flush, upgraded Turbo tie rods, and a four-wheel alignment.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a window sticker, a toolkit, a spare tire, a tire inflator, and a clean title.

@rak1161 The rear decklid is a factory option and was ordered that way from new. It is not an aftermarket piece.
Pretty car. Did the write up imply the rear deck lid spoiler was optional — as in an OEM option — or was it optioned aftermarket?

I posted the paint meter reading, compression test as well as leakdown results. Not sure why the leakdown pics were not already posted in the gallery, so waiting on @pcarmarket to put them up.
All numbers are pretty much consistent showing a healthy motor.
Also posted a pic of the original headlights with their respective rings. Several people have commented about them. Some love them, some not so much. Easy enough to put the originals back on.

@drola Thanks. These cars are a lot smaller than today's versions for sure. Even if they aren't driven much, in my opinion they are a pleasure to just admire.
@hierogk I honestly can't speak for the two previous owners. But being that I know the current owner I'll tell you what he told me.
He put about 1000 miles on this car. He already owns a 992 GT3 and bought the car thinking he would get into the classic 911 and air-cooled scene. And he did attend some events with it, which is where I would see and admire it.
However, he's probably almost as tall as I am (I'm almost 6'5") but with a, what's the best way to say it, larger waistline than myself. And he told me he just didn't feel all that comfortable in it. And being used to all the modern amenities of the 992, he just always gravitated to that one instead. And the '89 just sat in his garage. We had spoken at an earlier date about selling it, but didn't feel the time was right with the elections, then all the holidays etc.
So, he did give it a chance. Or about 1000 chances if you count them in miles lol
As far as the car goes, there is nothing wrong with it. It basically drives about as good as it would have when new. Brakes, suspension, steering, clutch, gearbox and engine all work in sync without any drama whatsoever.

@drola The car had 95K miles showing on the Jan 2023 and July 2023 auctions. It now shows 96K miles. What is wrong with it that no one wants to drive it?

I have service records going back to 1993. In the gallery is the most recent invoice for work done to the car under current ownership. The car was barely driven since that work was performed. It has only been driven 1000 miles since purchasing it in July of 2023.
@chollz The headlights are obviously not original. The original headlights are included.
I could work on getting paint readings and leakdown in the next couple days.
