We are pleased to present the first car ever to be built by Todd Zuccone of Evolution Motorsports, the “ZucZ”.  Starting life as a standard 1989 Carrera 4, this car has been reworked and custom built from the ground up, now standing as a one-of-a kind 565HP turbocharged masterpiece.  This ’89 Carrera boasts impressive upgrades and modifications which allowed it to be featured in a recent issue of Excellence magazine.  Remaining in great shape while showing 137k miles on the odometer, this 22-year-old custom build is now being offered for auction with extensive documentation by its seller in Arizona.

Attention is immediately drawn to this 911's unique bodywork.  Turbo front fenders have been installed and modified to accommodate factory 993 Litronic headlights.  Corresponding Turbo rear quarter panels and rear bumper have also been installed along with a custom front air dam and OEM 930 Turbo rear spoiler.  The wipers have been set to park in the European position and RUF deflector winglets are equipped around the new front windshield and in the gutter.  This build rolls on a set of Kinesis alloy wheels which are wrapped in Pirelli P-zero tires.  Finished in show-quality black paint at the time of the build, this Carrera is said to be well presented with minor flaws including typical road wear and a small outward dent in the hood.  3M clear bra has been applied to the front bumper, spoiler, hood, and headlights.  Looking like no other car on the road, this 911 is a true showstopper.

Inside, bespoke leatherwork has been carried out where the factory tan leather package ends.  The dashboard, sun visors, headliner and even the gauge bezels have been artfully wrapped in custom matching leather.  This Carrera features custom pedals, tinted windows, red seat belts, a MOMO shift knob, and MOMO steering wheel with quick release hub.  Factory options include a rear seat delete and electric sport seats.  The sound system has been upgraded to a high-end Nakamichi stereo and a K40 radar detector has been installed.  Said to be in excellent condition, only minor wear is present on the interior including some creasing on the driver’s seat bolster.

The heart of this beast is a 3.6L single-turbo flat-six engine that puts out over 565HP and 550 lb-ft of torque at 1.0 bar of boost.  This engine features a 5-position electronically adjustable fuel pressure regulator, Porsche Motorsport injectors, Maule 3.6 turbo pistons, and a Zytek sequential engine management system.  The turbo setup consists of a single Holset H1E race turbocharger with billet 962 wastegate and integrated electronic boost control.  This power-plant breathes through custom stainless steel “ZucZ” performance headers and exhaust.

Other performance upgrades include:

  • RSR Solid Rocker Arm Conversion
  • Raceware Rod Bolts and Head Studs
  • Ignition Amplifier
  • 964 Turbo Brakes
  • KW V3 Adjustable Suspension
  • Teflon Coated Race Valve Springs
  • CNC Ported and Polished Cylinder Heads
  • 2 Stage Nirosist Rings
  • Lightweight Billet Flywheel
  • 1100 Cubic Inch “Monster” Intercooler
  • Military Grade Wiring Loom
  • 25 Gallon Touring Tank

Extensive documentation regarding the build will be provided with this sale, the seller states that this car runs and drives perfectly at this time with the only issue being a minor oil leak.  The entire A/C system has been overhauled and the distributor belt was replaced along with a new power steering pump and hoses. With only 25k miles driven since the build was completed, this 911 is said to drive excellent with all service up-to-date.

Included in the sale of this phenomenal turbocharged 911 will be comprehensive records and documentation regarding the build and service history.  Also included will be a clean Carfax report and clear title in the seller’s name.  A true one-of-a kind machine, this has to be one of the coolest custom air-cooled builds on the market right now.  Do not miss your chance to own this custom 1989 Turbo Carrera by Todd Zuccone.

@burnrubr Miles on the odometer have nothing to do with the status of everything under the skin.

@burnrubr I have owned Redline service for 39 years during those years I have had the privilege of driving some very fast cars. (I have put hand controls in a 2014 GT 3) Honestly I have to say without a doubt. This is the fastest car that I have ever been in with the exception of a Bugatti Veyron.

Whoever wins this car will be very happy it'll cost tons of $$$ and time to duplicate this outlaw build and folks might say it has a lot of miles but who cares? this is one of those "buy the seller not the car" situation. Goodluck to the winning bidder and Happy Motoring!

@oldfart That doesn’t mean it works. I also bought a Boxster off here that said it had new tires and I had to put new tires on it because they were worn to hell. Anyhow text vs actual fact.

@burnrubr Just looked since she was driven to the last time maybe 15 miles ago no drips on floor. Seems there is a small seepage at pulley seal and the turbo return line. Nothing that cannot be fixed without removing the motor. YES it is four wheel drive pictures of the front end are here. Last dyno work was done by Evo Motorsports. Did you ready the Excellence article?
