We are pleased to present this 1989 911 Speedster finished in Guards Red. Reminiscent of the original 356 Speedster, this example features many unique styling cues along with a low-production number, making it one of the most desirable Porsches on the market. Being one of only 823 examples built for the US along with a mere 41k miles showing on the odometer, this Speedster is sure to grab the attention of collectors and enthusiast alike. The classic Guards Red finish on this Speedster is stated to be in excellent condition and remain in factory condition with the exception of a professional refinish of the right front fender. The only flaws noted by the seller are a couple of small rock chips on the front end as well as some chips on the leading edges of the soft top cover as noted in the photo gallery. This Speedster rides on its factory equipped 16″ Fuchs wheels which come wrapped in an older set of Toyo Proxes T1-S tires with a great amount of tread life remaining. A beautifully presented car finished in a timeless specification, this Speedster is an absolute showstopper.
This Speedster is appointed in a Cashmere and black partial leather interior that highlights desirable factory Sport seats, cruise control and air conditioning. This interior remains in excellent condition as indicated by the seller. A new air conditioning evaporator and blower motor were installed in January, 2020 and the plastic rear window was replaced in 1998. The original factory-installed Porsche radio remains in the car, however, it is reported to only work intermittently. All other gauges, electronics and accessories are said to be fully functional.
Fitted with a naturally aspirated 3.2 L flat-six engine, this Speedster puts out 215 HP to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual G50 transmission with an optional limited slip differential. A new battery and oil-level sensor were installed in 2014 and an oil change was performed last year. This vehicle comes with a complete service history and is stated to run strong with no issues.

The car is located in a hangar at Gnoss Field in Novato, California. (Marin County). I live on the north shore of Lake Tahoe which is about 195 miles from the car. It is covered and on a battery maintainer.
